You do realize that the GS race is not over yet, right? There is a theoretical possibility that someone who finished outside the top 30 in run 1 might reach the podium or win. Wikipedia rules clearly state that it's not facts, but sources that matters. There were plenty of sources saying he got bronze, and therefor it is eligible for Wikipedia. Please read the rules. GoogleMe (talk) 00:56, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

Please don't tell me to read the rules, especially when you appear to be misinterpreting them. The Wikipedia community has placed its trust in me long ago as an admin based on the fact that I do understand the rules (and also when to ignore them). Your statement above is certainly not the proper way to go about editing. What matters is that the information in the encyclopedia is correct and verifiably so--sources can be wrong, or even prematurely state that he won bronze, but that does not mean that misinformation or premature info needs to be typed into the encyclopedia, just because some source somewhere says so. I'm not sure why you're getting defensive about this, there is no need to since it's not a very big deal. I even chose not to revert your edits at that time, hoping that the final results would remain unchanged, as they did. --Seattle Skier (talk) 02:47, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

There were no articles to reference, as it was mentioned in "newsflashes" on TV and websites (just front page updates without any articles). In addition to that the number changes, and it's not really hard to find by visiting a Norwegian news site. There are easily available sources to verify the number, so for current situation it doesn't really require a source. The final death toll will be higher, so the future source for WP doesn't exist - and that is the only source that's really important. GoogleMe (talk) 14:26, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
