Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to List of accolades received by The Hurt Locker, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Regarding your edits to Doomworld[edit]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Doomworld. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. Do not continuously re-add a removed section without discussing why it should remain. With that in mind, please know that Wikipedia is not a soapbox. Thank you. Ethnic issues in Japan[edit]

Hi, Graylandtagger. Could you please stop removing information from the Ethnic issues in Japan? On the talk page there, last week I urged you to try and find consensus before removing those two sections again. NPOV[edit]

Please read WP:NPOV, which is one of our core policies. It requires that Wikipedia articles be neutral. Your edits to Comfort women were essentially the opposite of that, so you'll need to be careful in the future not to add your personal point of view to articles. Controversy sections[edit]

Regarding your edit to Tony Bennett, "Controversy" sections are a bad idea, wherever they occur. Yes, I know you see them in some WP articles, but not in the good ones. Such sections are a poor practice that are considered a violation of WP:NPOV and multiple other guidelines. For example, for American politicians, back in 2007 a special effort was undertaken to rid all 2008 presidential candidates' biographical articles of such treatment — see Wikipedia talk:WikiProject United States presidential elections/Archive 1#Status of "controversies" pages for the history of that effort. The same thing was done for all the 2012 contenders as well. So if Barack Obama and John McCain and Mitt Romney don't have "Controversy" sections, neither should a musician! Controversial matters should be discussed in chronology with everything else, where the proper context and weighting and balance and understanding can be maintained. Sean Penn Controversy Section[edit]

I oppose the leading wording (and grammar) of this section: "Support for censorship against criticism against Hugo Chávez". In the article which is provided as a source he is not saying that he supports censorship, but that journalists should be punished for publishing lies. I'm not sure that opposing sensationalist inaccuracies amounts to support for censorship. Thanks for uploading File:Screenshot 1.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. Debito Arudou discretionary sanctions[edit]

Hello Greylandertagger. This is to let you know that the Debito Arudou article is under discretionary sanctions, authorised by the Arbitration Committee. This means that you need to be careful to follow Wikipedia policy there, including the edit-warring policy, the biographies of living people policy, and the consensus policy. Your recent repeated addition of a "Criticism" section heading is in violation of these policies. The biographies of living persons policy doesn't explicitly forbid "Criticism" sections (although it does hint against it), but it does say that edits that don't have consensus should not be added to the article. You need to find a consensus for edits like these on the talk page, rather than simply reverting other editors. I've left the standard message about discretionary sanctions below.

I'm trying to talk about changing the article, but you simply won't respond. Not one is responding to my messages. The talk page is basically dead. Besides, how is the criticism section a violation of Wikipedia policy. How are the sources that are included not relevant. It's not designed to cause defamation of character. It's just mean to express the criticism that Debito has received.

Sorry. I don't know there was a rule about that. Not sure what you mean. Any advice?

After you type out a post on a talk page, you have to type four tildes (~~~~) after it. Then when you save the page, the MediaWiki software automatically expands this into a link to your user page and talk page, and the time you made the post. (See here for all the gory details.)
