October 2012 - A belated welcome![edit]
Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, Greghenderson2006. I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. October 2013 - COI declaration[edit]

- Thanks Greg. Posting the COIDEC on the various pages, not just your user page is a great idea. I've removed the COI banner from the ancestors article pages and modified the talk pages. I have not looked at all the various pages you've worked on, so please let me know if there are more. It is better to have a non-interested editor do so. Now, this is not to say that your various articles will survive. You've got to work them up to notability standards, based on the best available RS.
- BTW, I came across your various pages only because I was looking for articles about libertarians that needed work. And with the COI cleared up, I'll take the various articles off my watch list.

- I note that you still have not provided on your user page a specific list of the articles you have COI with, and you also continue to post at AFDs with which you have a COI, without notifying other editors in the post or the edit summary. - Which articles are COI? Why do we have to go and track down the ones that are? Also, why are you participating in AFD discussions without saying "I have a conflict of interest here, but..." These are simple standards of conduct that you seemingly refuse to follow. Why is it so hard to disclose on AFD pages that you have a conflict, or give us a list of articles you have a conflict with?ThatMontrealIP (talk) 00:35, 18 July 2020 (UTC)
- These rules of WP:COI and WP:AFD are somewhat new to me. I am still learning. So bear with me. Back in 2007, when I started writing articles for Wikipedia, I thought it would be nice to research articles about my ancestors that are notable. I loved doing this and got positive feedback. Then, in July 2020 you and a couple of other editors started cracking down on me because of my WP:COI. Now, I have to defend my articles that I worked so hard to create. The list of articles is pretty much the entire list of new articles listed on my user page. I have a conflict of interest in that I am either related via marriage or the area is where I grew up and have family stories. To me this is the majic of Wikipedia, to be able to research a subject that you are interested in, provide hyperlinks, citations, and write articles you think others would be interested in.
