Welcome![edit]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! I'd be happy to help you this semester. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you need help, you can ask me on my talk page or get live assistance on IRC. I hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! What is your next wiki assignment and when is it due? --Geniac (talk) 20:11, 8 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, posting to other users' talk pages is a proper way to respond to a message posted to your talk page. The other is to reply on your own talk page below what the other user said. Yes, I'm live near Pittsburgh and yes, the Pens have had some bad injuries and games recently. If I can help make any aspect of Wikipedia clearer, just ask and I'll give it a try; that's what I'm here for. I had a look at your edits to Lake Erie and Johad. Remember that when adding information to an article, it's also helpful to add a reference for the information added. One small point about the spelling of "organization" in Johad; since the article is about something mainly found in India, it's preferred to use spelling that Indians use, which is "organisation". See WP:SPELLING and WP:TIES; "An article on a topic that has strong ties to a particular English-speaking nation should use the English of that nation." It's not a huge deal, but I thought I'd explain why it was spelled that way. --Geniac (talk) 23:29, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Course page?[edit]

I don't see your username listed on any of the course pages listed at Wikipedia:WikiProject United States Public Policy/Courses. Which one are you a student in? --Geniac (talk) 01:02, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Geniac, sorry to be out of touch. We just gave our presentation on our article today, and with three weeks left in the semester, I feel like I can take a breather finally! The class is Ken Richards V625 class at IU SPEA- I will post the link here, I'll have to find it again. Thanks also for the advice on the Johad article- it's hard to keep in mind the international audience but that is a good thing to be cognizant of- we are focusing on U.S. policy too, which is too bad sicne Wikipedia is global, but I guess they had to narrow it some how. Anyway, we have added some things to the water trading page- it will get a lot better, but it's a start. We're also finding it harder than we anticipated to write impartially! The info on Chile and Australia was there before, and we'll keep it of course, and maybe add some more about international stuff that other wikipedians can run with later. If you'd like to look at our start that would be great-I'll let you know also when we have it more together. Thanks! Gwaleko (talk) 01:38, 19 April 2011 (UTC)gwaleko[reply]
