Deleted Star Trek Episodes

There have been a few episodes in the original Trek that were either deleted or shown only but once. One episode I remember as a child burned into my mind (made a huge impression!) I was about 4/5yrs old when it was first shown on British TV 1969/1970

I remember the title well: 'The Klingon Empire.'

Does anybody know what happened to the above episode, it was shown shortly before or after the 'Balance of Terror' episode. . !
