Sorry about the delay Healthps; have read and would like to include an abbreviated version, but maybe as written was not in the encyc voice, and too apart from the article overall (ie weave it in better). Thanks for the modified edits; much better now. Sorry hadn't realised you had few edits and were beginning; I forget sometimes how difficult it is for new people to get used to this place, us old timers have developed such hard skin that reverting is water off a duck's back, I suppose unfortunately for everybody else. Healthps, please understand that Wikipedia has a concept called (somewhat misleadingly) notability. A topic is said to be "notable" if there are multiple independent published reliable sources that discuss the topic in some depth. As per our policy on biographies of living people this and other requirements are enforced more strictly on articles about living people than on most other articles. To demonstrate notability, a source must be independent of the subject. This means that the subject's own papers and writings do not do so, nor do interviews with the subject unless there is enough discussion in the reporter's voice, nor do statements from the subject's employer, family members or close associates. Sources must discuss the subject in some depth, this means that mere directory entries or lists or passing mentions do nothing to establish notability -- they simply don't count. And to help with notability, sources must be reliable -- this means that blogs and self-published works normally do not count. Nor do online fora, or other wikis, or other Wikipedia articles. Wikipedia:Notability (academics) discusses the specific case of professors and other academic people, and outlines specific ways in which their notability can be established. Currently, none of the cited or linked sources in Draft:Elizabeth A. Spencer help to establish notability, and until the draft does demonstrate notability, it cannot be accepted as an article. Not every established academic is notable, and not every academic will have a Wikipedia article. What is called "run-of-the-university" or "average-professor" level academics will not have articles, although they may be good and worthy individuals. Please do not resubmit the draft unless you have made some attempt, at least, to add independent sources that will demonstrate notability. 18:16, 12 March 2016 (UTC)

Did you know about Wikiversity Journal of Medicine? It is an open access, peer reviewed medical journal, with no publication charges. We welcome you to have a look. Feel free to participate.

You can participate in any one or more of the following ways:

Publish an article to the journal.
Sign up as a peer reviewer of potential upcoming articles. If you do not have expertise in these subjects, you can help in finding peer reviewers for current submissions.
Sign up as an editor, and help out in open tasks.
Outreach to potential contributors, with can include (but is not limited to) scholars and health professionals. In any mention of Wikiversity Journal of Medicine, there may be a reference to this Contribute-page. Example presentation about the journal.
Add a post-publication review of an existing publication. If errors are found, there are guidelines for editing published works.
Apply to become the treasurer of the journal
Join the editorial board.
Share your ideas of what the journal would be like in the future as separate Wikimedia project.
Donate to Wikimedia Foundation.
Translate journal pages into other languages. Wikiversity currently exists in the following other languages
