LambdaTest[edit]

Why did you edit MER-C's archived message here? Why are you so eager to have LambdaTest appear in search engines? Do you have a connection with the subject? Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 17:49, 4 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the ping. This is an obvious covert advertising (UPE) account, and has been blocked as such. MER-C 18:23, 4 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hi whoever reviewing this. I am not sure why the account was suspended. The last post has been flagged as covert advertising however I took all care not to come out as such. In addition my account was flagged as an account that has spamming as "only purpose" but if you check my contributions I have never spammed. I have edited few grammatical errors, worked on a google page and bootstrap page and worked on LambdaTest page after around 4 years as a minor project. I am betting that my simple page on LambdaTest is the point of contention so I am going to give a little more context. I am a webdeveloper by profession and come across tools such as LambdaTest everyday. I found this tool on chrome extension and on research found no wiki page for this. As a simple side project, because I was free and was using LambdaTest for a client, i decided to create a page for it. I took care of only citing reliable web news sources (crunchbase, Mint, economics times, techgig) and made the post as neutral as possible. I used BrowserStack and Sauce Labs as templates, and considering that these pages cited same sources (crunchbase, itcentral, etc) I thought that these sources are legit. The next issue that comes was that I added index tag. I searched the post on google and didn't find it. So on further research I found that you have to manually add the index tag so I did. With that said, if you think the post is not valid, feel free to delete it however the suspension of the whole account on the basis of one very legitimately written post is not fair in my opinion. Let me know what could have been done better.Helium -- The inert (talk) 15:58, 8 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

That still doesn't explain why you edited an archived discussion. New articles on Wikipedia are not indexed by search engines until they are vetted by new page patrol. Attempting to manually bypass this – which does not work, by the way – is something that an SEO-minded spammer would do. Per our terms of use, you must disclose whether you've been paid to edit Wikipedia. Please keep this in mind if you make another unblock request. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Thanks NinjaRobotPirate for considering my unblock request. Considering your advice I wish to disclose here I am not working for LambdaTest nor am I getting paid for creating the wikipedia page for LambdaTest. I created it just as a simple side project because I was using LambdaTest for a client project. I removed the link from conflict of interest page because I thought there was not conflict of interest. For the next point related to indexing, I want to clarify again here that I get no benefit from Getting the page indexed or am I working for SEO of LambdaTest. Nearly a week after creating the page I was boasting to a friend about it but on googling didn't found the page. On further research i came across this page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Magic_words and thought that it was standard practice to use index magicword "index". I was not aware of the 90 day rule or patrolling as suggest in the post new page patrol. With that said again, if you feel the page created is not of good quality, I am ok with it being deleted or put in Draft state indefinitely as it is now. Let me know if clarification is needed on something more.

Your editing history is very sporadic, with most of it focused on commercial software development products. If you were unblocked, do you intend to edit actively? What topics would you be likely to edit? GoldenRing (talk) 10:46, 15 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Notice

The article Google Chrome Experiments has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not appear to meet WP:NWEB or WP:GNG. Overwhelming majority of the article content was contributed by Heliumsingh5000 who has been banned as "Spam / advertising-only account".

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
