IP address & user name[edit]

I was editing pages without a user name, so they showed up on as made by my IP address. Now that I have a user name (Hibou8, nickname hibou) is there anyway that the changes I made can now be attributed to me instead of the IP address?

thanks -- hibou 17:33, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi unfortunately not, the software provides no facility for any user to reassign authorship of edits. --pgk(talk) 17:37, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Best solution I have is this User_talk:EdwardLane#More_of_my_edits_when_my_connection_dropped_logging_me_out_but_still_submitting_the_edit which at least lets me find them to make further changes when I am logged in.
Incidentally I came to this page to mention that your suggested merge for static/double/triple trapeze seems good - and I wondered if you wanted to make that merge, and also if you wanted to get involved in the wikiproject circus thing too.

Anglophone Cataphile[edit]

Hello, thanks for your message - glad that we share an intrest! I had two guides - Benj and a Russian gent called 'Ural' in the underground. I get around pretty well by myself these days - but it's been a while since I've done any serious photography 'downstairs'.

Pleased to meet you, take care,

THEPROMENADER 17:31, 21 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've read your message on THEPROMENADER's page and am happy that you are interested in undergrounds. If you are interested you may find more photos of Paris' railways on the Commons. Cheers, Captain scarlet 13:46, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! I'll keep that in mind :) -- hibou 20:17, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Paris Catacombs[edit]

No problem, it's good that there is someone working on the article who has actually been in a catacomb. My main contribution to the article was starting off the fiction section.--Drat (Talk) 11:41, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cataphile[edit]

I editted it because some parts were in an inappropiate tone. If you feel this was a little too ruthless then I can add the important information back into the article. - Erebus555 15:38, 4 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I understand. First of all 'hang out' may be considered an inappropiate tone, therefore, I will readd this in the way you put it to me as they enjoy themselves. This paragraph about the 'skinheads' also seemed inappropiate for an encyclopedia however, I will add this back but in a more appropiate manner so that people understand more about why this sentence was added. - Erebus555 15:39, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • feel that this addition is of no purpose. It doesn't go in the general section of the article. I would advise maybe creating a 'rumor' section if you wish to cite rumors. You are right, i just rechecked my translation and it was a bit a mess. However, some parts of it weren't necessary for deletion. Any other editing i did was to keep the article Neutral. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Coffeegirlyme (talkcontribs)
  • thank you for listening. I think you have done weel by spliting up the article. thx 4 all Coffeegirlyme 03:52, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Walter Lowenfels[edit]

Thank you for starting the article! Are you familiar with his work?--Rockero 23:07, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject France[edit]

Hello! We are a group of editors working to improve the quality of France related articles. You look like someone who might be interested in joining us in the France WikiProject and so I thought I'd drop you a line and invite you! We'd love to have you in our project :-) STTW (talk) 17:53, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Old username[edit]

It would probably be easier to simply redirect your old userpage and talk page to your current ones, instead of having them speedied and changing any links. In fact, that should have been done by default when your username was changed. It was for mine, if I recall correctly.--Drat (Talk) 14:15, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cave Clan[edit]

I must decline to accept the WP:MEDCAB case due to my direct involvement in editing the page. I will however, remain active on the article and try to help out. Vassyana 09:18, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is mediation still needed? There have been no edits since 3/10. Please let me know. Vassyana 20:32, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure what's happened to the discussion, there seems to be no one discussing. I guess that's better than edit warring. But now that there are a few more editors paying attention to the article, I think the Cabal case can be dropped.
Also, I noticed Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Jachin. Jachin and the IP have another article in common that is not listed: Cave Clan. The IPs edits are already noted; look towards the bottom of the edit history for Jachin's edits. -- hibou 16:09, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Walter Lowenfels[edit]

Re: the "tax resisters" category, this is based on Lowenfels being a signatory of a pledge of tax resistance in protest against the Vietnam War in 1968. This was published in the New York Post and elsewhere (see History of tax resistance).— Preceding unsigned comment added by Moorlock (talkcontribs)

Take a look, Hibou. I expanded the Lowenfels article somewhat. I do wish we had the citation for the tax resisters category.--Rockero 04:17, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It looks great! I added a couple details, wish I had more. -- hibou 22:19, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Berber Scouting[edit]

Can you help render "Be Prepared", the Scout Motto, into Tifinagh? Thanks!

Also, I posted a proposal you might like at Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals#Berbers. Chris 09:25, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tifinagh isn't actually a language, it's an alphabetic script -- i.e. there are a few different languages written in Tifinagh. You could compare it to the Latin alphabet. But in any case, I don't speak any of the languages written in Tifinagh, so I can't help you. -- hibou 10:35, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
