Hello, Hjayburns! You were briefly blocked from editing Wikipedia due to a misdirection of vandalism that occurred on Bates College. You still seem to have a connective conflict of interest with the subject of the article, so please feel free to discuss on the talk page anything you'd like to add or remove. You have been unblocked and sorry for the inconvenience. Happy editing! Yorkshiremany (talk) 22:59, 10 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, Kevbo. My work at Bates College includes attemption to draw attention to issues or problems with the Bates College article but without crossing the clear lines established by the Wikipedia community of users. I've appreciated the support thus far. Hjayburns (talk) 14:58, 16 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome![edit]

Hello, Hjayburns, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few links to pages you might find helpful:

You may also want to take the Wikipedia Adventure, an interactive tour that will help you learn the basics of editing Wikipedia. You can visit The Teahouse to ask questions or seek help.

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Again, welcome! <-- the text to up to arrow is a canned message, but I really do want to welcome you. I appreciate your interest about the Bates College article and your up-front disclosure of association with it. Please see Talk:Bates College#Copyright blanking where I comment fairly extensively. I ask there to have discussion about the article stay with the article, i.e. at its Talk page. Maybe I over-state it there: it's also true that the discussion is about more than one thing, and it could be held here at your Talk page, too. In general, anyhow, editors with a COI often suggest changes by separate sections for each change, and it does seem useful to have a running log of those and other comments all there. Again, welcome, and while I will "watchlist" here and will probably see any reply here, feel free to contact me at my talk page any time to get my attention. cheers, --doncram 02:48, 14 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
