A tag has been placed on Krider Performing Arts Center, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you.    SIS  00:56, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Cookock[edit]

A tag has been placed on Cookock, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Virtual Magic Kingdom do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Proposed deletion of Planet Of Ixchel[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Planet Of Ixchel, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Boogaliboo???[edit]

Could you please provide links to your article Planet Of Ixchel that prove the identity of Chey. Clem and the existence of his book Boogaliboo? Thanks. --Millbrooky (talk) 01:07, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I was kind of hoping the reasons you can't site Wikipedia would be self evident. Not that you can't do it, just that it's completely inappropiate in this instance. I've added an example reference, a copy from the A Wrinkle in Time article, that needs to be included throughout. The Wikipedia reference I left was an oversight on my part. The reason I asked about Boogaliboo is that I could not find any evidence of the book being published. Amazon returns nothing, nor does Google which makes me wonder if the book even exists. I would say that finding a link proving the existence of this book should be your number one priority right now. Lastly, the Planet Of Ixchel article as you've written it is treading a fine line between being kept and deletion. I refer you to WP:INUNIVERSE to explain why this is problematic as it list many of the characteristics that the article may have issues with. --Millbrooky (talk) 05:45, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Do you like to play in sandboxes?[edit]

Written before I saw your message... I noticed you blanked Planet Of Ixchel. If you don't mind, I'll ask for it to be deleted and you can start fresh. My main question to you is why don't you create your own sandbox? You can create a sub-page of you userpage such as User:Howdychicken/Sandbox from which you can work on an article in peace. Then when you're ready, you can move or copy over the article to the main Wikipedia space for all to find and see. --Millbrooky (talk) 23:22, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Click on that red link in my post above and start typing. If you look on my user page, you'll notice I maintain 4 sandboxes in my user space where I store article stubs and notes before I publish them on the main space. Many other wikipedians do the same thing. See this page for reference on how to create a user subpage. --Millbrooky (talk) 00:02, 7 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your main page suggestions[edit]

Main Page redesigns are being discussed at the talk page of Wikipedia talk:2008 main page redesign proposal, and it's linked from discussions in Talk:Main Page/Archive 124 through Archive 130.

For ways to have fun, there's WP:WIKICUP, which starts January 1, and the Wikipedia:Department of Fun. WP:SIGNPOST doesn't quite spotlight users in the way you suggest, but it's the closest I can think of. Hope this helps. 4Russeteer (talk) 16:02, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh I almost forgot! You can remove old messages from your user talk page if you want to, and you can WP:ARCHIVE them if you want to. It's up to you. 4Russeteer (talk) 16:06, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly unfree File:Marina Eftsova.jpg[edit]

An image that you uploaded or altered, File:Marina Eftsova.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the image's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the image description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Kolindigo (talk) 00:49, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Demi Lovato image[edit]

You substituted a free image with a non-free image on the article Demi Lovato. That image you put is used under fair use on the La La Land article, on the "Rational" section of the image it says 1.No free equivalent exists that would effectively identify the article's subject. (Which is not true, but true for the article La La Land (song) which is why the image was uploaded.) So... you should probably replace it I think. Pigby (talk) 22:28, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, that's a free image. Feel free to use it if you like it better. Of course, I can't guarantee someone else won't change it back. Wikipedia image policy can be kinda complicated. You might find this link interesting. (Wikipedia:Public domain image resources) Hope that helps a little! Pigby (talk) 00:06, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Get Back Music Video.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Get Back Music Video.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Σxplicit 01:33, 30 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:Tiffany Thornton cropped.jpg[edit]

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Tiffany Thornton cropped.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Peripitus (Talk) 07:25, 4 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Kpac stage.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay.
