Uploading images[edit]

Please resize images you upload to 300×300 pixels and convert them to PNG before uploading. The cover you uploaded, File:Color On Me (Album Cover).jpg, is far too large for fair use on Wikipedia. If you do not know how to resize and convert JPGs to PNGs, please Google it—there are websites that will do it for you, or walk you through how to do it on a simple image editing program like Microsoft Paint. Thanks. Ss112 01:20, 5 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for February 22[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Kang Daniel, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page KBS (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello HrToss! Your additions to Kyung Hee Cyber University have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. All other images must be made available under a free and open license that allows commercial and derivative reuse to be used on Wikipedia.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 14:15, 4 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

December 2021[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Kang Daniel‎ into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. EN-Jungwon 01:34, 19 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for letting me know, I have included a statement in my recent edit summaries! HrToss (talk) 03:35, 19 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nominate Kang Daniel article for GAN[edit]

Greetings! I just wanted to let you know that the Kang Daniel article can be nominated for a Good article nomination as it qualifies for a GA recognition. Since you've contributed to it the most you should be the one to do it. This is where you can nominate the article [1]. Let me know if you need any help with anything. Btspurplegalaxy 🗩 🖉 01:27, 3 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds good, thanks for letting me know!
About the removed discography section on the Konnect Entertainment article, I was hoping you could expand on that. I tried to follow the format of other Korean record label articles and most of them have a discography section linked. Konnect hasn't released enough for me to create a whole other article to link to but I assumed including what has already been released on the label page would be alright. The category specifically made for it (Category:Discographies of South Korean record labels) also influenced my decision. Let me know why you think otherwise! HrToss (talk) 04:45, 3 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome. I just restored it. If he signs more artists in the future, it can expanded. Until then, it'll have to stay as it is. Btspurplegalaxy 🗩 🖉 06:24, 3 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If it wouldn't be too much trouble, I would like your help with something. Btspurplegalaxy 🗩 🖉 06:26, 3 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, I'm not too familiar with Wikipedia policies and guidelines but I can try to help. HrToss (talk) 02:37, 4 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It wouldn't be difficult. I wanted your help with the Boa article. I've been trying to improve the article and was wondering if you would be able to take a look at it and see what could be improved. I still have a few things to fix. Your help would be appreciated. Since you have well maintained Kang Daniel's article, I think you would be helpful. Btspurplegalaxy 🗩 🖉 17:03, 4 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I see. I wish I was able to but I have very limited knowledge on her career and I don't think I would be much help. The only reason I contributed so much to the Kang Daniel article is because I've been closely following his career since it began. Sorry to disappoint, I hope you understand! HrToss (talk) 10:58, 8 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I also don't know much about her, but I am just trying to improve the way the sentences are structured. I would like to see if you could fix some of the wording on her page. The grammar could be better. You wouldn't have to add information. Btspurplegalaxy 🗩 🖉 11:52, 8 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

January 2022[edit]

Just wanted to let you know Kang Daniel's article should be nominated under 'Other music articles' instead of 'Media and drama'. Btspurplegalaxy 🗩 🖉 06:27, 6 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Just changed it, thank you! HrToss (talk) 10:58, 8 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your GA nomination of Kang Daniel[edit]

The article Kang Daniel you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Kang Daniel for comments about the article. Well done! Circle Chart[edit]

Hi HrToss. I just saw that in February you added a note to Kang Daniel discography still referring to the Circle Chart as the "Gaon Chart". Not sure if you intended to do this, but a reminder (as I'm sure you're aware, as you cited the website) that it's been the Circle Chart since mid-2022. Thanks.
