March 2020[edit]

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Backstreet Boys (1997 album), did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Angryjoe1111 (talk) 19:34, 31 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

April 2020[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from making test edits in Wikipedia pages, such as those you made to List of signature songs, even if you intend to fix them later. Your edits have been reverted. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Robvanvee 17:52, 15 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Backstreet Boys, you may be blocked from editing. Do you need help with sourcing or are you just ignoring these messages/warnings? Please respond Robvanvee 19:22, 15 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Aguy777. I noticed that you recently removed content from Boy band without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Specifically, this notice is about your removal of a reference; replacing it with a different one with no explanation. Aguy777 (talk) 09:40, 17 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did at Backstreet Boys. Please stop your fancruft. This is your last warning before I report you to WP:ANI Robvanvee 19:14, 17 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Olamide in 2020.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a file licensed as "for non-commercial use only", "no derivative use", "for Wikipedia use only", or "used with permission"; and it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag and if necessary, a complete fair use rationale.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Replaceable fair use File:Olamide in 2020.jpeg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Olamide in 2020.jpeg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 00:58, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Olamide in 2020.jpeg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Olamide in 2020.jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:28, 25 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"Chances" cover art[edit]

Just to let you know that I have updated the cover art on the article for "Chances". PNG images are preferable for song covers, as JPG images compress the quality of the image. Song covers are also uploaded with 300x300 resolutions, or otherwise fails WP:NFCC#6. You MUST provide a rationale when uploading non-free content, or otherwise it would be removed. Genius.com is a user-generated source and should never be used to cite sources in Wikipedia. You can use other streaming services such as Apple Music, Spotify, or Tidal to find artwork. Do not re-add your image onto the article based on these reasons. Thank you. — Angryjoe1111 (talk) 22:42, 27 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
