Welcome but be careful[edit]

I left similar notes with your fellow students. Wikipedia Chem has a lot of experience with student contributions, and some of that experience is not so wonderful. Here is some advice to help you have a smoother experience: 1) Rely on WP:SECONDARY sources. Books and reviews are the main sources we want. The goal of referencing in Wikipedia is to guide readers to digested sources of information that offer broad perspectives. Wikipedia is not a technical review journal, so dont try to load us up with a lot of specialized references. Otherwise one risks having the material being removed. So dont waste our time with narrow referencing. 2) Wikipedia is not for homework and students have no ownership rights. Editors will delete or enhance based on their understanding of the mission of Wikipedia. 3) Plenty of editors here to help you, so ask if you want advice. Happy editing. --Smokefoot (talk) 13:34, 2 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Hynes.Lucas! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. Be our guest at the Teahouse! The Teahouse is a friendly space where new editors can ask questions about contributing to Wikipedia and get help from peers and experienced editors. I hope to see you there! Worm That Turned (I'm a Teahouse host)
