October 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Tony Judt has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://wallwritings.files.wordpress.com/2010/08/tony-judt.jpg. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. an image file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 18:18, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Stella Judt has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No real indication of notability, which is not inhereted from relationship to Tony Judt.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Tony Judt[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Tony Judt, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Hi. I now understand from these edits that you are the sister of Tony Judt. Firstly, please accept my condolences on your family's loss earlier this year. I'd also like to thank you for contributing to the article. I'd really like to make it a first-class article, which is the least Tony deserves, and your help would be highly valued. However, the problem with your additions is that two of Wikipedia's key rules are that information included must be verifiable (see Wikipedia:Verifiability) by reference to reliable sources (see Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources). The footnote stating that you are related to Tony is helpful, but I fear that the material is likely to be challenged because, without you present, a reader will be unable to verify that it is true. I wonder if any of the information you added is published anywhere, such as in Tony's interviews? That way, we could add citations that readers could follow up.
