Spam in BattleGlobe

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on BattleGlobe, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because BattleGlobe is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.

Thanks for your note. There's definitely a misunderstanding here which may affect the way you go forward, so I'll try to explain. Two people assessed your article; the editor who tagged it, and the administrator who deleted it (me). The editor who tagged it selected the tag referencing advertising, and noted in the edit summary that there were only 94 Google hits associated with the topic (BattleGlobe). However, when I read and assessed the article, I deleted it (and provided an edit summary indicating this) because it did not meet our "notability" guidelines. Frankly, I agree with you that the article did not seem to be particularly bad in an advertising sense, and I'm not sure why the tagging editor chose that tag. However, the article had definite problems with our notability policy and also contained no reliable sources. Here's the set of problems you need to address. You have to somehow demonstrate that BattleGlobe is more notable -- better, more special, more useful, more fun -- than other games of its type. And the way you need to demonstrate that is by finding reliable sources that say so -- reputable arm's-length third-party experts not associated with the game company. This generally does NOT mean posts in forums, but worthwhile material online for an online game might be acceptable -- I think that judgment would be made on a case-by-case basis.
