I've moved my comment there since it is more appropriate right now. Sounds like the issue in this edit war is only in regards to the image in the casting section and the license seems adequate. I hate to call this a lame edit-war, but it is. The editor involved also blanks his talk page, which doesn't help his case and seems he also has issues on other articles and had a previous 3rr block in April. If he continues his actions, regretfully, he will have to be blocked again especially since the majority right now seems in favor of keeping the image --JForget 15:02, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

How'd you reach no consensus? The article's an unreadable piece of garbage. Not even I, the master of keeps, can voice that it should be kept, or did you include my prior keep with my now stubify it? Keeping articles that users cannot read is pointless. It's not an article. It's gibberish. Still, what is your reading that it was "no consensus?" Some had proposed rewrites, stubbification and one well-experienced user proposed to keep, so not a very clear consensus. But maybe it should go to the incubator or for userfication. It might be better in either of those since it needs a big overhaul with help with experts. Also you seem to go from keep to delete to stubbifcation to redirect in this AFD, plus you have not stroke your first position. It says "relisted," so doesn't that mean it's "relisted?" There's only one keep, and that editor did not come back for the relisting. The article really needs either immediately stubbified or deleted now. It can't really sit on wikipedia in its current state, particularly for a major topic. It's like having an article on bike racing that consists of the text, "Bicycle tires are made of rubber. Rubber used to be only naturally occurring from plantations in Southeast Asia even though it's native to Brazil. The British colonial empire also landed a ship in Antarctica that year." Unreadable gibberish isn't an article. Keeping an article on the topic is one thing, but this isn't an article on the topic. I understand why you closed this discussion as keep, but I want to point out that most (all?) of the keep comments came from editors either who have only edited on this or closely related articles or who were contacted by Ismail Valiyev. I could have canvassed support for my proposal from other editors, but felt that this was not the way such things should be done - I put it on the WP Geology project page to get other editor's views but unfortunately got no response at all. I remain frustrated by the process, I'm tempted to re-list it straight away or take it to WP:COI as the creator and main editor has said that all the pictures in the article are all his own work, which virtually guarantees that he works for the organisation as the same pictures appear in their promotional material. The whole thing smacks of pseudoscience and self-promotion. This is not intended as rant at you, just venting a little of my frustration at my first experience of AfD. Maybe I should just ignore this and go off and write more articles on real science. Tell me to forget it and I will, otherwise your advice on my next move would be appreciated. Parts of the article looks messy and a couple of sections sounds an advertisement indeed, so I've flagged for clean-up and left a note in the talk page. There are way too many images and some are too big. So some maintenance is well needed. Often you will see people from various WikiProjects being contacted for AFDs related to the project although some of the WikiProjects do list related articles on AFD on their main page. Now I don't understand the language but I would presume it is just inviting users to participate at the debate - I have had sometimes these kinds of message. As long as it doesn't attempt to influence the outcome it shouldn't be much concerning. By the way, don't worry about that experience, the first ones are always toughest since being not that much familiar and often there are unanimous consensus for keeping articles or others options. Once you read more and more about the deletion policies, you will probably have no problems in doing more deletion nominations. JForget 23:41, 1 January 2010 (UTC)

Jean Carroll

Hi JForget. I noticed that you undid the edits the last time, so I thought I'd bring to your attention that they have been replaced. I can't tell if they're legitimate or not, but if she was still alive, I don't see any indication that she died today, aside from a claim from someone saying that she is her daughter. For now I've removed the DOD and placed her in "Possibly living people" since there's no source for the death and tagged the rest of the info. I recently recreated the article as Wii Fit Girl and was quickly reverted due to the previous AfD. However, I feel that the version I wrote clearly addressed the complaints of the article being about someone who is famous for only the YouTube video, in spite of the fact that she has been sued for the video, the lawsuit being covered by several news media outlets such as Fox News, she has appeared as a spokesperson for Electronic Arts' EA Sports Active, and has spawned several homages and "copycats". Perhaps the original version that was deleted seemed to be covering a person who was only famous for one thing, but this one I think clearly shows that she has done more than just be the Wii Fit Girl. Sanmesh Kalyanpur

We are part of a miniscule Chitrapur Saraswat community and are proud of the achievements of Sanmesh Kalyanpur. At a young age of 15, he had saved his 8 year old sister from drowning in open manhole during the July floods which drowned Mumbai in India. The Government of India recognised him with National Bravery Award and he was selected for the prestigious Sanjay Chopra Award. He was also awarded the President of India's Jeevan Raksha medal which is awarded for exemplarary bravery irrespective of age. Maharashtra State selected him for Maharashtra Gaurav Puraskar. All these achievements ot a young age justifies mention in Wikipedia.

All the awards mentioned form part of Government of India's gazzette notification and there are many articles in newspaper which were provided on the site. I was disappointed when I was told that the page has been deleted since tthe achievement doesnot merit inclusion.
