Opinion on my drafts

@JackReynoldsADogOwner: Hey man, just out of curiosity which of my draft articles (if any) do you think will be approved? Please be 100% honest I will not be offended regardless of your answer! You can view them from my profile btw. UpcomingPurseTalkToMe 07:14, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
@UpcomingPurse: Um... that one is a tough one... I think the one to get approved would have to be the Typical Gamer. The reason why I say that is because you have good references that I think are reliable! Wikipedia is about good-references and reliable sources, and I think you've gathered enough sources that will make it go to the mainspace. The only concern I have towards the article is to expand it a little bit more. Yes, I understand that he's a YouTuber and that's his career, but maybe find out who his family members are and how they infulenced him to be who is right now. I hope this helps you and if there's anything else I can help you with, let me know! Jack Reynolds (talk to me!) (email me!!) 13:17, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
@JackReynoldsADogOwner: Thank you I will be taking that advice!
@UpcomingPurse: Hi, I'm D🐶ggy54321. I’m a talk page stalker, and I caught your conversation with Jack. Bit of background about me: I got Jack more comfortable with Wikipedia (think: mentor but make it unofficial) and taught him tons of tricks, one of which was how to get drafts accepted. As well, I created (and wrote a good chunk of) the page Confetti (Little Mix album), and when it was moved to draftspace, I picked up a ton of good tips. Another draft I’m working on, Draft:Revelación, is really close to getting accepted. So, with that in mind, I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that Typical Gamer has a 50% chance at being accepted. The whole article needs a major copyedit, the references are questionable, and I’m not sure the subject is that notable himself. I’m not trying to crush your spirits, I’m just being honest. I’ll try to work on it so that it has a better chance of being accepted (copyediting is my one true passion). Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 00:42, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
@Doggy54321: Thank you sir for your opinion and thoughts! It would mean everything to me if you helped out with the article and maybe even teach me some of your tricks you taught Jack! I don't want to ask too much but can you maybe leave a list of the questionable sources on my talk page? Thanks alot, UpcomingPurseTalkToMe 04:51, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
@UpcomingPurse: Totally! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 12:39, 9 February 2021 (UTC)

Doggy54321, thank you for helping UpcomingPurse out! Also, to UpcomingPurse: Even though I am a noobie at this, I will try to help you as much as I can. There might be times that I hic-up, but I wil try my best to revert it — or someone else will catch my mistake. Please bear with me! And thanks for reaching out to me. That does mean a lot! Jack Reynolds (talk to me!) (email me!!) 13:09, 9 February 2021 (UTC)

Happy to help! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 16:13, 9 February 2021 (UTC)

Valentine Greets!!!

Valentine Greets!!!

Hello JackReynoldsADogOwner, love is the language of hearts and is the feeling that joins two souls and brings two hearts together in a bond. Taking love to the level of Wikipedia, spread the WikiLove by wishing each other Happy Valentine's Day, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past, a good friend, or just some random person.
Sending you a heartfelt and warm love on the eve,
Happy editing,

D💘ggy54321 (xoxo😘) 03:39, 14 February 2021 (UTC)

Spread the love by adding {{subst:Valentine Greetings}} to other user talk pages.

@Doggy54321: Thank you very much! Jack Reynolds (talk to me!) (email me!!) 13:32, 16 February 2021 (UTC)

My pleasure! D💘ggy54321 (xoxo😘) 13:33, 16 February 2021 (UTC)

Thanks so much for your help and protection!

Just wanted to thank you for your help and protection on User:TheCartoonEditor/sandbox/August (Taylor Swift song)! It was very nice of you to help out when THAT was happening. TheCartoonEditor | (talk) | (contribs) 20:32, 17 February 2021 (UTC)

@TheCartoonEditor: It's what I'm here to do! It's bad enough that THAT person did what he (or she) did, but it's wrong to delete a page of treasure and gem... and yes, I'm talking about Taylor Swift! Jack Reynolds (talk to me!) (email me!!) 13:08, 18 February 2021 (UTC)

Adopt-a-user

Hi! I was looking to be adopted (I'm relatively new to Wikipedia and still consider myself inexperienced) and was wondering if you would be able to adopt me. Thanks! FredModulars (talk) 03:44, 21 February 2021 (UTC)

@FredModulars: First of all, I am touched that you went to me out of other adopters! And finally, of course, I can adopt you! It would be my honor! If there is anything I can help you with, please let me know! I just reviewed over your Housing in Florida and I am impressed! It is well cited! I applaud you! I've changed couple things and I will try my best to help you! Thank you again! You just made my week, fyi! Jack Reynolds (talk to me!) (email me!!) 01:31, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
@JackReynoldsADogOwner: Thank you so much for that kindly-worded message! I appreciate your help with my Draft, and I do hope I'm able to take away many valuable things about the encyclopedia under your guidance. I'm not sure exactly how this (adoption) works (the page was a little vague in my opinion), but I hope it works out well and am really looking forward to this. Thank you so much again! FredModulars (talk) 14:14, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
@FredModulars: From my understanding of adopting a user, it means that I help you to understand all of the code, formatting of creating articles, answer any concerns/questions that you may have about Wikipedia. So yeah! Feel free to ask any questions and I will try to answer them as soon as I can — as well as clearly! Jack Reynolds (talk to me!) (email me!!) 15:53, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
@JackReynoldsADogOwner: That makes a lot of sense, and is similar to my original understanding of the project. The most difficult thing I find about Wikipedia is the MOS. I get the general "gist" of it, I just have a problem with memorizing all the shortcuts and terms and always pointing out what to do right and wrong, which is why I've always had an issue being WP:BOLD since I always second-guess myself and don't exactly know what to do. — Preceding unsigned comment added by FredModulars (talkcontribs)

@FredModulars: I totally understand where you are at! I was you when I first started out Wikipedia! But, Doggy54321 helped me out a lot and I hope I can be the same thing Doggy54321 was to me — a mentor. Also, side-note, always remember to sign with ~~~~ whenever you're done replying back to a person on a talk page. Jack Reynolds (talk to me!) (email me!!) 13:11, 23 February 2021 (UTC)

Thank you so much! @FredModulars: As the mentor to your mentor (grandmentor lol), I wanted to say don’t worry, you get used to all the wiki-jargon pretty quick. Most editors link to the page they are referencing (e.g. MOS:TITLECAPS instead of MOS:TITLECAPS), so it should be pretty straightforward. As well, do not second guess yourself. It makes it easier for yourself and for Jack if you are bold with your editing. Have a great day to both of you! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 15:18, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
@Doggy54321: You crack me up! @FredModulars: I agree with Doggy54321! It is best if you stick with your first instinct. Again, let me know anything you need help you! And have a great day! Jack Reynolds (talk to me!) (email me!!) 15:32, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
@JackReynoldsADogOwner: okay. Currently, I'm trying to work on an article but am having some trouble ogranizing sources and things along those lines. I also went to borrow books from the local library to try and help fix it up, but I'm having trouble with things like how I should use headings and titles, how to format the article as a whole, and what I should do to focus on the subject. I don't know if you could help me grasp the idea and continue with it, but if you could I'd really appreciate it! Thanks again, and have a good day, too! FredModulars (talk) 21:11, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
@FredModulars: I assume the article that you're talking about is the Getúlio Vargas, right? If so, I will take a look at it and fix anything that I spot. If that is not the article that you're talking about, can you please provide the link? Thanks! Jack Reynolds (talk to me!) (email me!!) 00:40, 24 February 2021 (UTC)
@JackReynoldsADogOwner: yes, the one on my User page. I'm trying to devote a lot of time to that specific one right now, but since my edits (and your's too) were reverted on the actual page I feel it's going to take consensus to change the page and not cause an unwanted edit war. I'm confused about where to go from here, either establishing consensus or editing the page. I don't really know, what am I supposed to do in these scenarios? Thanks! FredModulars (talk) 01:41, 24 February 2021 (UTC)

@FredModulars: I think the best approach is to come to an compromise of what to do with the page. I would suggest posting on the talk page of the original page and try to get other people to notice the work and effort you're putting into with your Getúlio Vargas page! I hope this helps! If you want me to start the discussion on the page, feel free to let me know! Jack Reynolds (talk to me!) (email me!!) 13:09, 24 February 2021 (UTC)

@JackReynoldsADogOwner: Sorry for the late response, I was busy for the last two days. I guess that approach doesn't apply to the situation now that 48pills has implemented nearly all the text from my user page. I will save that advice for later whenever a similar situation comes up in the future, though. Thank you very much for that :).
Also, I had another question if you didn't mind: Do you know a general idea on where to look for accurate sources and the best places to look for sources on historical figures (other than libraries and online libraries)? Thank you so much for the help, have a great day/night! FredModulars (talk) 20:58, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
@FredModulars: It's all good that you responded late! I totally get it! Life, right now, is hard and can be very busy for everyone! So, no need to say sorry! Also, the resources that you use — such as the books and libraries — are all good! Here are my lists of to-go "websites" to gather sources for historical figures:
These are the websites that I use for search for historical figures! I hope this helps! If you want me to give a longer list, feel free to ask! In the meantime, have a great day/night! Jack Reynolds (talk to me!) (email me!!) 13:21, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
I'll look into them. Thanks for the help, and I'll reach out if I have any questions! FredModulars (talk) 18:18, 26 February 2021 (UTC)

Wanna help?

Hey Jack! I know from past experiences that you are always looking for more things to do, so I have a task for you (if you’re up for it). In case you didn’t know, unverified Twitter accounts (no blue checkmark) are considered unreliable on Wikipedia. This is for obvious reasons, because we don’t want people tweeting false information and adding it to Wikipedia.

There is a Twitter account with the handle of "ChartData" ([1]), and it has been cited many times on Wikipedia. It "reports" chart/sales data of various songs/albums. It is an unverified account, though, and we don’t know where they get their info from, so it has been deemed unreliable on Wikipedia. I’m trying to remove as many citations to this account as possible, but the list truly is never ending, so I though I’d ask for your help. If you’re up for it, please ping me and I’ll give you a list of instructions. As well, I will still be working on this, so it won’t be just you. If you’re interested, please let me know. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 17:03, 27 February 2021 (UTC)

Okay, so I just checked, and there are roughly only 30 pages that source this. I do know of other unverified Twitter accounts that are frequently used on Wikipedia, though, so if you want to help with those (or ChartData as it is very time-consuming to scour the article for the source), that would be awesome. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 17:07, 27 February 2021 (UTC)

Doggy54321 Sorry to intrude, I too am "always looking for more things to do", and if "the list is never ending", one more set of typing fingers can't hurt. So, I think I pinged you for "the list of instructions", if that's OK? 48Pills (talk) 20:41, 27 February 2021 (UTC)

@48Pills: Got the ping! That’s completely fine, I’ll leave you a message on your talk. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 22:37, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
@Doggy54321: Sorry for responding late! And also, I am interested in your task! Let me know how I can help! Jack Reynolds (talk to me!) (email me!!) 17:51, 28 February 2021 (UTC)
Hey! No problem at all. If you go to User talk:48Pills#Instructions, they should all be there. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 18:22, 28 February 2021 (UTC)
Just note that, when you remove the source, you need to remove the content as well. If you could do that at 21 (Adele album) really quick (as you have already removed the source), that would be awesome! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 18:26, 28 February 2021 (UTC)

@Doggy54321: Gotcha! I've removed the content! Jack Reynolds (talk to me!) (email me!!) 18:29, 28 February 2021 (UTC)

User:Doggy54321/sandbox2 details this, you should check it out. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 02:49, 1 March 2021 (UTC)

Thank you... You could ask FredModulars?? 48Pills (talk) 21:57, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
