About SISU BK[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give SISU BK a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Moving Yugoslav league to just First Federal League[edit]

I don't think that's a good idea. "First Federal League" is extremely vague for English Wikipedia. That's not nearly descriptive enough for an article title for a non English speaking league, and it also could cause a lot of problems with redirects. Plenty of articles could be named First federal league, which will cause problems with future article names and redirects.Bluesangrel (talk)

Panathinaikos and Superfoods sponsor[edit]

I just wanted to let you know that it's not a name sponsor. The owner of the basketball club also owns the foods store, and so he uses the basketball club as free ads for his food stores. But it's not an actual club name sponsor, and the club gets no money from it all.Bluesangrel (talk)

Greek A2 league did not exist before 1986[edit]

Greek A2 league did not exist before 1986, so titles won in Greek 2nd division before that in Greek B league, should not be called "A2" league, because it's actually two completely different leagues. So lumping it together, and counting A2 for titles won before it existed is incorrect.Bluesangrel (talk) 07:43, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

My edits are based on sources and I use the linkages of the official club's names as opposed the user Eldumpo who incorrectly insists on using linkages with club names that do not exist and he creates confusion. For example, there is no page in wikipedia about the lemma Borletti Milano. Borletti Milano was the current but not the official name of Pallacanestro Olimpia Milano but this basketball club had adopted many sponsorship names at its entire history and to avoid confusion the usual practice is to quote the likage the official name of the club and then to add the current name (look at the link ---> Borletti Milano or Simmenthal Milano or Simac Milano but not Borletti Milano or Simmenthal Milano or Simac Milano etc). Also the usual practice for the competitions that take place in two different years but in fact are one season, both are recorded. For example there is no 1990 Lega Basket Serie A Champion but 1989-90 or 2017 Lega Basket Serie A Champion but 2016-17 and so on, because the calendar was organized between these two years. To sum up, my edits are totally in line with the sources and above all with the official wikipedia edit practice and this can be seen by the contributions that I have started (they are recorded in my user page). Jaco IV (talk) 18:56, 2 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Do not "fix" something that doesnt need to be fixed and was just fine for years, where did you see that you should write things like Runners-up? It should be either simply Runners-up or Runners-up (italicized), but the first letter should NOT be capitalized, same as the words which should be spelled out fully (3rd place ---> Third place, 4th place ----> Fourth place), those are basic MoS rules. Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion[edit]

Information icon Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. Colonies Chris (talk) 11:38, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I wanted to leave you a message because of a recent dispute that's been ongoing on this article (and possibly others as well). Colonies Chris has been repeatedly expressing concerns that you've been modifying this article in ways that he believes isn't correct or needs to be adjusted or fixed. He's repeatedly attempted to message you to try and establish communication with you, but you've mostly failed to discuss the issue with him. I do see that you replied on your user talk page to him here (which is good!), but there appears to be unanswered questions. He's cited Wikipedia policy and guideline pages with the assertion that your changes are incorrect per these policies and asked you to review them. It appears that you have not done so, nor have you attempted to interact with him to resolve this issue

I don't feel that the history and the number of reverts on the article between you two have stacked up to the level of edit warring, but it's clear that there's been a dispute with these changes for quite some time now and that communication has not been attempted to the level that's needed in order to resolve it. Therefore, I have fully protected the article until this dispute is resolved. Please discuss the dispute with Colonies Chris (preferably on the article's talk page), come to a agreement between the two of you, and let me know when I can remove the protection from the article.

I'm not one bit interested at all in "who is correct" or "whose argument is what the outcome should be"; my concerns here is the fact that there are legitimate concerns being expressed with your changes, a dispute regarding the changes to the article and if they're correct or not, and that very little communication or attempts to resolve the concerns have been attempted - which is not how we should be interacting and collaborating with others. Please remember that, as an editor, you're expected to respond to disputes in which you're involved, and to make a reasonable and fair attempt to resolve the concerns raised by others - not to ignore their concerns and resume editing the article anyways.

Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions and I'll be happy to answer them. Thanks for your understanding and your attempts to get this issue resolved so we can all move on :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 01:30, 10 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
