Welcome[edit]

Hello, JacquelynSkoch and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students. Go through our online training for students

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.

Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one please tell your instructor about that. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.

We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! GABgab 17:07, 25 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

October 2016[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to Adaline Weston Couzins. I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks! Deletion discussion about Simon Pollack[edit]

Hello, JacquelynSkoch,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Simon Pollack should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Simon Pollack .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,

Eddie Blick (talk) 01:28, 24 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article House of Refuge has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The multi-issue template has been in this article since the day the stub was posted, 4.5 years ago. Not even the original editor bothered to come back after day one. In the last 4.5 years, the only thing that has been addressed is minor punctuation, and a past/present use in wording. The only reliable link is permanently dead. The unreliable source was identified on day one of the stub's posting and no editor even considered to take the time to at least remove it. Also, the House of Refuge hasn't now and most likely never had any notability, accept maybe for the children that lived there.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
