Blocked as a sockpuppet[edit]

Request reason:

I have not yet given my perspective or defended myself against this accusation. I’ll start by saying that this is not a sockpuppet of any previously banned account. Regarding the evidence presented, I think its extremely weak, “Iago” and “Jake” are two completely different names, and secondly a sockpuppet would be unlikely to use the same name “Hughes”. The reason this account happens to also use the name Hughes is obecause I am from Wales, and Hughes is a very common Welsh surname. Regarding my edit, I went to the talk page respectfully to discuss with other editors, I did not start an edit war or any type of vandalism. And lastly, regarding Gruffydd ap Llywelyn’s title “King of Wales” which was also recognised by the King of England, Edward the Confessor, for which I provided a 12th century English source to support this (a non Welsh/biased source) which is used in modern academia by established Welsh PHD historians such as Sean Davies and Mike Davies who published a book on the topic. Gruffydd ap Llywelyn was King of Wales and the only person to ever hold that title, that is a historical fact which is established in modern academia and again sourced from medieval English sources (not Welsh, therefore not biased). This is not a “nationalist” perspective as user “DeCausa” claims, it’s simply a historical fact. The brief unification of Wales as a kingdom is a crucial part of Welsh history, and the fact that an event of such importance is not included in the Wales wiki page does not make sense to me. First, I find the evidence at the SPI pretty convincing. Second, this has nothing to do with any allegation of edit warring or vandalism, and everything to do with you using two accounts and trying to convince us you're not the same person, an allegation which you really don't seem too interested in defending yourself against here. — Daniel Case (talk) 06:54, 12 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
