Edit wars[edit]

Kaka, I am in no way shape or form anti-kurdish, as you can see in my userpage, I support he independene of Kurdistan. But the English Wikipedia must stay FACTUAL and NEUTRAL at all times. You can put "Kurdistan Region" in the Kurdistan wikipedia, since it is ok to have things like that. I will give you an example, look at the Kurdistani page in the kurdi-wiki - [1], as you can see in the buttom, they have a template that makes it look like as if Kurdistan is already a nation. Kerkuk is a despoted page, because Kerkuk is not right in the heart of Kurdistan region. It is off the side, so 1. its desputed if it is in the region or not, 2. the city does not have 90% kurdish population like Arbil or Dehok, where you can say those two cities are in the "Kurdistan region". When you re-edit, make sure you dont undo stuff that was fixed, like the sources that I have changed in references, so that it looks the right way. Chaldean 14:56, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Syrian Kurdistan[edit]

I support such a name simply because it is used by both academics and journalists, many of them are non-Kurds. About inclusion in Kurdistan, that article is already too big and we can not include everything in it. In the last Afd in March, I simply did not have access to enough academic sources that used the term, so people thought it was just political, while it was not. If you look at the history of the recent deleted article, you see several Geology journals that explicitly use the term Syrian Kurdistan. Those who argue against this term, simply say there is no region called Kurdistan, and they have been trying to deny its existence in Syria and Turkey. BTW I do not think we can hold a vote on existence of something, it's like saying holding a vote on whether Latin America exists or not. As long as a term is used by people around the world, we should be allowed to write an article about it. Please read the comments of the last vote on Syrian Kurdistan to see what I mean.
