Course description tweak

In Wikipedia:Wiki Ed/Spelman College/2016 ACS Symposium (Summer 2016) (generated from [1]), the first sentence and all later descriptions use the abreviation "ACS". Obviously that means something to you and those taking the course. But for those of us not in the course, it would be useful if the you define that abreviation the first time you use it. Thanks! Hi, You said you "edited" (actually removed) the photo "because it was old". The documentation on the photo specifies that it was "taken with iPhone on 29 June 2016", making it all of nine days old now. LadyofShalott 18:09, 8 July 2016 (UTC)

:) This is true. The user requested me to remove it for that reason. I did not know when it had been taken. I obliged her request because she continues to have numerous technological difficulties with this media. My plan is to continue giving her technical training so that she can successfully delete and upload photos.JaneNova (talk) 13:57, 14 July 2016 (UTC)

I re-added it as it is not old, and it's the only one we seem to have of this person--it doesn't appear to be inappropriate an any content way. No prejudice against someone providing an alternative, or filing a deletion request for the file itself if it is truely problematic in some way. DMacks (talk) 14:16, 14 July 2016 (UTC)

Very well, but this user uploaded it herself 'in error.' It will be up to her to battle with you over that. This is a unique issue related to people learning how to use Wikipedia. Attention: WikiProject African diaspora participants

Hello fellow project participants. Not sure how many users are still active as normal Wikipedia editors but felt the need to attempt to get a gauge on who can be called on for help with articles falling under the umbrella of the African diaspora project. According to the project's article table there are over six thousand articles related to the African diaspora; there's not a hundred at FA/GA grade and there's over twelve hundred that are unassessed. With Wikipedia being one of the major information reference points in the world today we should consider this unacceptable. Much work needs to be done on the rating of the importance of articles as well. With more communication amongst participants and a dedication to addressing the articles on the to-do list I believe we can make this WikiProject one of the most well organized and thorough on the site. If you are interested in collaborative work with some of your fellow project members, have certain expertise on any particular subjects, ideals on/about the WikiProject, etc. simply drop your name under the "Project revision" section I've created on the project's talk page and state your intentions and main points of interest in our WikiProject and we can attempt to move forward from there. Hi, I'm just letting you know that I have removed the account creator permission from your account. The English Wikipedia has recently created a new user group, event coordinator, and editors who need to create accounts for outreach events are being migrated to it from the account creator permission. If you need the permission to create accounts in the future for an event, you can request it at Wikipedia:Requests for permissions/Event coordinator a few days before the event is slated to begin.
