Hope I'm doing this right. I've noticed that when using an iPhone and trying to open a link to a Wikipedia page whose title contains non-English characters, Wikipedia will error and say that the title is bad. Pages I have tried this with include https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pedro_Lascur%C3%A1in and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L%C3%A4kerol . I found what I believe to be a bug tracker for Wikipedia at https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/project/board/1157/query/open/ but was unable to determine if this is a known issue. -Jatopian (talk) 03:49, 22 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

For what it's worth, both links work perfectly for me on my iPhone, using either the Wikipedia App or Safari. Perhaps the issue is within your iPhone settings, and not within Wikipedia itself? (Leaving this help-request open, in case other helpers have more insight.) Scottyoak2 (talk) 10:01, 22 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
According to Scottyoak2 it seems to be an issue on your end, not on Wikipedia's, anyway. My advice would be to try some non-Wikipedia link with non-English characters; if that also doesn't work, the indication is very strong that the problem is with your phone (or its browser), not with Wikipedia. If other sites work and only Wikipedia gives you problems, it may be related to this ticket. Huon (talk) 20:34, 22 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
