License tagging for Image:Tastees - 3 packets.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Tastees - 3 packets.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 13:07, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Tastees, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Tastees and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. StephenBuxton (talk) 12:58, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you have rewritten the article so it no longer reads as an advert - thank you for that. However, as there is very little information contained in the article, it did run the risk of being deleted. As all the information in the article was contained in the Twisties article, I have changed the Tastees article to a redirect page. I have also gone through the articles that linked to the redirect page and diverted them to the Twisties page. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to drop me a line on my talk page. StephenBuxton (talk) 16:58, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

February 2008[edit]

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Malta. While objective prose about products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Thank you. StephenBuxton (talk) 13:00, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

October 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" is strongly discouraged. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 14:45, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 11:59, 28 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

December 2008[edit]

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits. The next time you insert a spam link, as you did to Cheetos, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. Conflict of interest regarding "Tastees"[edit]

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. --McGeddon (talk) 15:43, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Would you mind clarifying your connection to the Tastees brand? The majority of your edits have been related to the Tastees brand, and you appear to have added "Twisties are also on sale in the UK, where they are known as Tastees" as your first edit in October 2007, two months before the website says they were launched in the UK. --McGeddon (talk) 10:40, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

My connection to the Tastees Brand is as a snack consumer and snack fan. I ate Twisties in Australia and for the benefit of the 000's of Australians who live in the UK and use Wikipedia as a trusted material source, I inserted an entry indicating that Tastees are a very similar product. This material fact was on Wikipedia for 12 months and then it was deleted by someone. I then re-submitted the facts and this was deleted. I have not checked the website for information, but the launch of this product was mentioned on snack fan sites for months prior to October 2007.

You have been accused of sockpuppetry. Please refer to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Jewelleryq for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with notes for the suspect before editing the evidence page. McGeddon (talk) 13:01, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked 1 month for sock puppetry. (blocked by MuZemike 03:38, 30 November 2009 (UTC))[reply]
You may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but please read our guide to appealing blocks first.

March 2011[edit]

Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to Twisties. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. McGeddon (talk) 16:15, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
