Dolphins-Jets rivalry[edit]

I appreciate that you want to contribute to the article; obviously you're more than welcome to. But there are some things you have to understand if you want to edit articles on Wikipedia. There is no ownership of articles on Wikipedia. Just because you created the article or contributed the bulk of content doesn't mean that you alone are allowed to edit the article. Wikipedia is a community and everyone is entitled to attempt to improve any article they want to. Also, no disrespect, but your writing style isn't very encyclopedic at all. Wikipedia is not a collection of fancruft. Statements such as "The Jets honored Namath in two ways on this night. Retiring his jersey and defeating his arch-rival that he owned in the 60s." are not facts, they're opinions. There has to be some verifiability to what is written, preferably by citing sources.

All that being said, don't let me sound like I'm trying to discourage you from contributing. Read more of the Wikipedia guidelines and policies if you're unsure of anything, or contact one of the administrators for any clarification on issues. Also, read some of the featured articles if you want to see what an article looks likes when it's at its best.
