Hi.. since you asked: It's not wrong to help worthy causes, and none of the AVF participants would claim otherwise, including those who voted delete. But there is no reason to believe that listing the charities on wikipedia would actually help anyone (actually it seems pretty likely that no one is reading the list since it contained some spoof entries when it was linked from every page yesturday and no one complained)... Instead such a list would comprimise our neutrality, cause unending debate, and be used as a further excuse to add additional advertising (even if it's just the nonprofit kind) which is against the Wikimedia charter and gainst the will of the users of Wikipedia. There are a lot of other reasons given in the AFD and on the Mediawiki:sitenotice talk page. You should check them out... but don't be mistaken: we all want to help people and help comes in many forms ... thats why most of us edit Wikipedia! --Gmaxwell 02:49, 9 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Compromise proposal on Template:Suicide[edit]

I have a possible solution to the dispute on Template talk:Suicide#Compromise proposal. When you have time, take a look at it and note your possible assent or not in the appropriate section. Thanks! — Phil Welch 22:34, 2 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

File:User-Jijinmachina.jpg missing description details[edit]

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as File:User-Jijinmachina.jpg is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors to make better use of the image, and it will be more informative for readers.
