Wikilinking England[edit]
Hi, I noticed your edits on the Plymouth article as well as many others. Per WP:OVERLINK, "England" should not be wikilinked. The idea is that wikilinks are meant to help the reader understand the subject of the article; while I appreciate that not everyone knows what England is, the majority of people on the English Wikipedia will know enough for it not to hinder their understanding of the article's subject. Moreover, the majority of people reading the article are probably from England. Wikipedia's policy on overlinking is as follows: "Unless they are particularly relevant to the topic of the article, avoid linking terms whose meaning can be understood by most readers of the English Wikipedia, including plain English words, the names of major geographic features and locations, religions, languages, common professions, common units of measurement" (own emphasis added). Too many links detracts from the important ones. Linking England at the start of an article is not a big issue, and not worth edit-warring over, but please do respect the consensus.
