Boracay wiki page[edit]

Hi, I hope you don't mind my separating this talk:Jkaufman101 page into separate sections. You recently posted a comment on the Boracay page, saying: "All this talk about wind and weather should be deleted. It is ridiculously long." I am the person who added the weather info to the Boracay page and, as you might expect, I view this differently. I have lived on Boracay for ten years and can say with assurance (1) Boracay's main (only?) focus is tourism; (2) many prospective Boracay visitors are first-timers, and come to references like Wikipedia to find info about Boracay; (3) the question of how weather might impact a Boracay visit is an item of concern to prospective visitors; (4) Boracay has very pronounced seasonality of weather -- much more pronounced than other Philippine tourism destinations -- and the seasonal weather impacts visitors (it's a real disappointment to fly halfway around the world expecting a tropical paradise, arrive in the middle of Habagat season, and spend your Boracay vacation being unexpectively rained on and having beach sand blown into your face by a 30kt wind). I could be wrong about the general usefulness of the Boracay weather info, or about the appropriateness of placing it on the Boracay page. If you feel strongly about this, please open a discussion on this subject on the talk:Boracay page. -- Boracay Bill 06:47, 28 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Marble Cliff Quarry Co. wiki page[edit]

Hi, thanks for adding the information about the Marble Cliff Quarry Co. to Wikipedia. Do you have more specific dates of operation? Also, you said that it was headquartered in Upper Arlington, but that city did not exist until the 20th century, and the Quarry Co. was founded in the 19th. Even after the city's founding, the quarries themselves have always remained outside U.A.'s boundaries. Could you clarify this? Also, please note on the satellite-derived map of Upper Arlington, Ohio that I marked quarries on the map as #13—could you add information as to whether both of these are the co's original quarries, and whether these quarries were initially larger, or connected? Thanks! Postdlf 19:04, 26 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Radovan Karadžić[edit]

Hi there, I've started a discussion about Karadžić over at Talk:People detained by the International Criminal Court. He's being held in the United Nations detention centre, which happens to be located right next to the ICC detention centre, but is completely distinct. In any case, the source you cite doesn't even mention the ICC, so it can't possibly be used to support your claim. Regards, Polemarchus (talk) 16:14, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. I can't understand this edit at all. You've just added another source that doesn't mention the ICC. Your source clearly states that Karadžić is in the custody of a UN tribunal and is being held at a UN detention centre. Since you haven't replied to my comments, I can't understand why you persist in claiming otherwise. Polemarchus (talk) 22:13, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Anderson Cooper's talk page[edit]

Why did you revert this [1]? (BTW, on Steve Martin's hair, see [2].)TVC 15 (talk) 19:06, 7 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
