I made Jessica Dykstra's page a while ago. When she reached a stage where I thought her notability increased, I made it a second time. When I heard that she was in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, I contacted people who confirmed for me that this did indeed make her notable. She is or she isn't. I just did what I thought I was being told. I'm not sure what the reason is for the deletion. Someone thought I plagiarized the content of the article when I resored it. Hey, sorry for the delay in responding (I'm at the "been here so long that I don't really come and do stuff anymore" phase of my wikicareer). While it is interesting that that's his only image online, since he's still alive having a fair use image is a non-starter. As for Gromek, since they did not have any comments on the FFD and they did not note it happening on the image in the article (which they're supposed to and we both would've seen it there) I just restored it, which is allowed as a contested prod and fine-tuned the rationale to be safe. A whole boatload of issues

I've been cleaning up your edits to not just Bobby Floyd but Danny Napoleon, Dick Tidrow, Tom Underwood, and Cass Michaels at least. There are persistent problems in your edits. Not in any particular order

1 Your use of self published blogs as references such as this one[1]. That violates WP:SPS. Note- You have been asked not to do this beforeUser talk:Johnny Spasm#Blogs. @JzG:

2 Putting a reference on a sentence on a sentence that doesn't corroborate the sentence. Like this one[2] for Bobby Floyd coaching for the New York Mets in 2001 and 2004.

3 original research like putting in Tidrow's article that he was only traded for pitchers. That's not referenced too.

4 Neutral point of view. What is a player's best year or not what their career highlight is an opinion and unless referenced don't belong in the article.

5 Totally unreferenced material like the bit about Danny Napoleon's family.

It's an exaggeration to say you've sourced everything you've added. The bit about Napoleon's personal life was not sourced and contained information about presumably living persons. You also made several unsourced or partially sourced edits to Bobby Floyd. Whether something can be found easily on Baseball Reference is irrelevant; it's your job to add a reference for new information you add. WilliamJE's other points are over some more minor things (like whether he's only been traded for pitchers), but they're valid. Either a source says something, or it doesn't. I don't think anyone here is accusing you of being an incompetent editor ("I know what I'm doing")—but you are not applying the rules consistently. A couple observations I'd like to make:

1) Before I edited it, there were 2 references on Dick Tidrow's article. There are now 54, including articles to every trade he's been involved in. He'd been traded for a total of 7 players. The fact that every one of them is a pitcher, while not "HOLY CRAP!! EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM WAS A PITCHER" significant, is significant, and worth a mention.

2) Danny Napoleon is dead. The way his article currently reads, one wouldn't know that.

3) The Toronto Blue Jays lost 109 games in 1979. Tom Underwood went 9-16. He wasn't on the mound for Carl Yastremski's 3000 hit or anything like that. He pitched against his brother making his major league debut, the only time it has ever happened in major league history. I don't think calling it his "most significant start" was a stretch. Especially since it turned out to be a very impressive pitchers duel.

4) I know the difference between an opinion and a fact. Every time I've referred to a player's best season, it's been when that opinion has crossed over into fact, and I've included facts to validate that it is not really an opinion (I hope the way I phrased that makes sense). 5) I've been going through Larry Hockett's list of veteran stubs, and I've been enjoying it. I worked on Kevin Elster's article. I've corrected quite a few incorrect statements in articles over the years, but his was the first article that I found 3 separate incorrect statements in. I take pride in the level of research I've put into all of my articles, but if someone is going to shadow my work, and make major issues over what I consider minor issues, it takes the enjoyment out, and I'm not going to bother. Seriously, take Jerry Mumphrey as an example. He had a 4190 bytes article with only one real source before I got to it. It now has 35 sources, and is over 5 times the size. I need to be told that there are "issues" with this article because I referred to him as a "speedster"? I said that at the point in his career where he came up from the minors with a reputation as a speedster, and had only ever been used as a pinch runner. "Speedster" seemed accurate, but whatever. For a editor who has a large number of edits around here, your lack of knowledge of WP policies or your intentionally ignoring them is significant. You say you know them but

1- No source says Tidrow says he was always traded for a pitcher. Even if you have six references for six trades, WP:SYNTH aka WP:OR applies. You can not use multiple sources to draw a conclusion none of them say.

2- Your edit was not referenced, he has never been a State assemblyman, and the bit about his son is a violation a WP:OR if you got it from the son.

3 and 4- Read the part of WP:NPOV known as WP:Subjective. Which reads- 'Wikipedia articles about art and other creative topics (e.g., musicians, actors, books, etc.) have a tendency to become effusive. This is out of place in an encyclopedia.' 'And their is WP:ATTRIBUTEPOV which reads- ' Biased statements of opinion can be presented only with in-text attribution. For instance, "John Doe is the best baseball player" expresses an opinion and cannot be asserted in Wikipedia as if it were a fact. It can be included as a factual statement about the opinion: "John Doe's baseball skills have been praised by baseball insiders such as Al Kaline and Joe Torre." Opinions must still be verifiable and appropriately cited.'

I wrote my last comment before going to work. I had the whole work day to think about this, and I'm done. Seriously, I'm done. I've put hours of research into the articles I've worked on. For all that work to merit a section in my talk page called "A whole boatload of issues" says a lot about how little anyone cares about the effort I've put in. I added a youtube video of the Chicken Dance in the movie He Said, She Said. I kinda think that should count as a source. I couldn't find anything to substantiate that the last performance by Legs & Co. was the chicken dance, other than an interview with one of the dancers in which she says that & a blog. I know blogs are a no-no, so I didn't source it. I don't edit nearly as much as I used to because wikipedia's admins piss me off. Nothing personal if you are one. Anyway, do what you must. I know a youtube video doesn't count as a source, and that is part of why I find wikipedia so silly. We're talking about a scene in a movie. I post that scene in the movie, and the reference & link is removed. "Nope. Doesn't count. It's a youtube video. You need a source saying they did it. No, I removed it because, as WP:IPCV discusses, the point isn't whether it happened, the point is whether anyone considered it significant that it happened. I don't really understand why you appear to have trouble comprehending this, but I'm running out of ways to try to explain it, and you're not providing any indication that you read the linked information. How is the fact that it appeared in Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius more relevant? If anything, I would think that the appearance in He Said, She Said is more relevant, as it happened there first. It isn't more relevant, and the source provided also didn't satisfy IPCV, and as such, I've removed it; thank you for bringing it to my attention. If the appearance in HS, SS is really the first appearance of the dance in a movie and you can find a source that says that, then by all means add it in with the source that makes that statement. It's the first appearance to my knowledge. I'm not certain it is the actual first. As to whether or not I've ever reviewed WP:IPCV or any of wikipedia's other rules, the answer is no. I write what I write, and if a video of an event happening isn't enough evidence to prove that it happened in wikipediaverse, then someone else can take it out.
