Warnings

January 2006

Thanks for experimenting with the page Earth on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. Avi 18:34, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

Please do not keep undoing other people's edits without discussing them first. This is considered impolite and unproductive. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert an article to a previous version more than three times in 24 hours. (Note: this also means editing the page to reinsert an old edit. If the effect of your actions is to revert back, it qualifies as a revert.) Thank you. Avi 18:42, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

Please do not remove your previous warnings from your talk page. It is considered to be vandalism too. Thanks. --Ichiro 18:44, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

Response to these warnings

Please do not keep giving me these warnings that do NOT help me!! That serves NO purpose! Besides, the edits this new warning about the "Earth page" is talking about is not 'experimenting', I saw crap about Hitchhikers!! Moreover, this talk page must stay productive, meaning that warnings that I've read and no longer serve any purpose mustn't say here indefinitely! Greetings, Joris 19:52, 20 January 2006 (Local Time (UTC+1))

Clarification

JorisvS, you seem to be new here, which is great, we all were new; Welcome! To explain what is happeneing regarding the Earth page, if you would read the actual article, you would notice that the Hitchhiker stuff does not show up, it is in an HTML comment block. The reason it is there is to dissuade vandalizers from putting Hitchhiker references in; it does not show in the article. Your desire to combat perceived vandalism is commendable, and if you channel it where vandalism exists, you will make a great contribution to Wikipedia. If you have any other questions, ask me on my talk page. Welcome, and good luck. Avi 18:58, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

Dissuasion?

Yep, I did notice that it wasn't showing up, but only after I made my first removal. But is it used to dissuade Hitchhikers from putting in any references?? The comment didn't strike me as so, but had I understood it properly then, I would have left it intact in the first place. And thank you for letting me understand its purpose. Greetings, Joris, 20:04, 20 January 2006 (Local Time (=UTC+1))

Blocking

Please see Wikipedia:Blocking policy. Only administrators can block users, but if you think someone deserves a block after reading the blocking policy, there are a number of ways to get an admin's attention. The fastest way for reporting vandals is to post the vandal's IP address or username on WP:AIV. That is monitored by numerous administrators, and it usually doesn't take long for issues to get taken care of when posted there. --Spangineer[es] (háblame) 15:39, 1 May 2006 (UTC)

You are no admin so you cannot block anyone, plus it looks agressive. And your English is only level 3, no offense.
Firstly: Who are you?
I know I'm not an admin. And the aggressiveness (two g's!) is THE component that has scared that vandal away! I don't appreciate strangers that put in crap about me on my userpage!
From what would you like to deduce the latter of what you said?

Re: es-3 template

Hi. I've taken care of the formatting change. Thanks for contacting me. Regards, Redux 15:39, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
