Le jeu d'Adam[edit]

Hey there. :) It's great that you're so enthusiastic about the article on Le Jeu d'Adam, but it's against Wikipedia policy to add large chunks of copyrighted text, especially without citation.

The edits you're making are also, in general, rather redundant - the play follows the Bible pretty much to the letter, so I've cut out your summary and added links to the articles on the relevant Bible stories. Roscelese (talk) 00:44, 25 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there! Thanks for the suggestion. As it happens, I am not terribly enthusiastic about this play. However, I am in a British Literature University class, and it my assignment to find a piece we have read that doesn't have an article, and write one. As of yesterday morning, no article existed for this piece. I understand your thoughts, and am thankful for your edit. I am curious regarding your opinion of what would be appropriate to add. Analysis, perhaps? Thanks again for your help. jsbmhca_717

That's a really interesting assignment (and I can totally sympathize, because even though I wasn't told to do so, I just created an article on a book I was assigned)! Analysis would be super, as would information about how it would have been performed (for example, the York Cycle mentions that each play would have been performed by a different guild - who would have acted in this? How were special effects created?) and its relationship to dramatic tradition and historical events (for example, according to the York Cycle article, the plays continued to be performed after the Reformation, but scenes honoring Mary were cut and the play was eventually suppressed).
Good luck! Make sure you cite your sources! Roscelese (talk) 15:50, 25 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

June 2015[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Speedy deletion nomination of Raymond Neutra[edit]

Hello Jsbmhca 717,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Raymond Neutra for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

File permission problem with File:Raymond Neutra.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Raymond Neutra.jpg, which you've attributed to Raymond Neutra. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 13:25, 27 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
