(resolved) Bad faith - regarding terminology in Leda and the Swan[edit]

Please do not falsely accuse me of disruptive edits simply for correcting a page you are assuming bad faith 2601:405:4A80:B950:4CB2:FED:33F2:1CCF (talk) 21:38, 9 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

User:2601:405:4A80:B950:4CB2:FED:33F2:1CCF I specifically undid your revision due to Wikipedia's policy on Disruptive Editing. WP:DISRUPT You were conducting an edit war with other users over the particular wording of sections of the article which was not constructive. Please take this suggested change to the article's talk page instead of repeatedly reversing changes made by more senior editors (specifically Serols). Thanks, Jthekid15 (talk) 08:49, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I changed it only once that is not an edit war if any one was edit warring it would be you the information on the page was verifiably false and misleading please stop your disruptive editing your actions are not constructive and please stop assuming bad faith. Thanks, 2601:405:4A80:B950:5C67:376:C3F3:521C (talk) 18:17, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@2601:405:4A80:B950:5C67:376:C3F3:521C: *facepalm*, this is an ongoing edit war in this article which you have made yourself a part of. I did not undo your change in bad faith, I undid it specifically due to the fact that the repeated changes are tripping the edit filter and escalating into a back and forth edit war. At this point, i'm done with this issue. Please conduct further discussion on the article's talk page instead of repeatedly changing the text back. That is literally what the talk page is for. You might also consider creating an account so that you don't have a different IP address (and hence appear to be a different person) every time you come to complain about the rollback of changes on my talk page. I'll take your "Stop assuming bad faith" and give it right back to you. I'm just trying to make sure the article isn't a battlefield. Jthekid15 (talk) 18:24, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I am confused @2601:405:4A80:B950:5C67:376:C3F3:521C:, are you or are you not the same person that edited under the IP address User:2601:405:4A80:B950:4CB2:FED:33F2:1CCF? You claim to be separate on the talk page for the discussed edits but claim to be one and the same here? This is why making an account would be useful to everyone involved. Jthekid15 (talk) 18:42, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
This was resolved on the talk page and a compromise was reached. Jthekid15 (talk) 09:34, 15 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

March 2021[edit]

Hi Jthekid15. Apologies for the lack of explanation, and thank you for restoring the edit although that will not be necessary. I'm removing the entire section because I wish to work on it on a separate page. Thanks for the message! I'm still relatively new to this so I'll take your message as a learning point.

(also if I'm not editing your talk page correctly, I apologise.)

Iamnotawikibot (talk) 13:23, 14 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No problem! It tripped the vandalism filter which is why I reverted it, I should have read the page edit history a bit better. I recommend working on an improvement in your Sandbox. Jthekid15 (talk) 13:25, 14 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the recommendation (and defending my username!) Iamnotawikibot — Preceding undated comment added 14:45, 14 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you![edit]

Thank you for reverting an improper edit in the George A. Romero article, keeping it objective and a reliable source! 😇 PetSematary182 (talk) 21:17, 4 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Chuy Garcia reverts[edit]

Why were my edits reverted? They were properly sourced and helpful to the article. 73.110.175.228 (talk) 19:46, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like some blanking to me here. Moops T 19:50, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Blanking? I was reorganizing the text and info? I also added more images of his time in the U.S. House. I never removed any info. 73.110.175.228 (talk) 19:54, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You're good to proceed based on what it looks like you're doing as mentioned by Jthekid15, just be careful. TY Moops T 20:03, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Sure thing! Thanks Moops & Jthekid15 :) 73.110.175.228 (talk) 20:03, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
As I mentioned on your talk page, it appeared to be a test edit. To be more specific it appeared that you were adding an unnecessary comment on the page. I can see from your contribution history that you have been making constructive edits to the page, so for that I thank you. My apologies if my edit confused you, I should have explained it more in my caution message.
Though User:Moops does raise a good point, some of your edits seem to remove more content than necessary, see WP:CRV JC aka JtheKid15 (Communications) 19:53, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
(by the way, I only reverted one edit, not all of them) JC aka JtheKid15 (Communications) 19:54, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Could I revert to how the lead looked before you reverted it? I added info about his time in city council, rearranged some info about his 2015 and current mayoral run and added his progressive stance (cited)? 73.110.175.228 (talk) 19:57, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Oh I see, but I wasn't removing them, or at least that wasn't my intention, I was reorganizing text, even rewording them. 73.110.175.228 (talk) 19:55, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Accidents happen WP:GF, be careful, work in small increments before committing an edit instead of a few sweeping changes to an article. JC aka JtheKid15 (Communications) 19:57, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Gotcha! Could I revert the lead though, I think it worked fine (plus I didn't blank/removed anything) and all my additions had citations. 73.110.175.228 (talk) 19:58, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I can see in this edit that you removed the image 'File:Jesus Chuy Garcia Speaks Resist Trump Chicago' and 'File:Jill Biden visit to National Museum of Mexican Art' without moving them? That might be what Moops is referring to. JC aka JtheKid15 (Communications) 20:04, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I did? I thought I reorganized them into other sections? My bad then, that was not my intention. 73.110.175.228 (talk) 20:05, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I found the Resist Trump image elsewhere but it appears the Jill Biden image didn't get re-inserted.
Just a side note, it would be really useful if you made an account, makes future edits you make tie back to the same place and has a bunch of other uses! JC aka JtheKid15 (Communications) 20:21, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
