October 2008[edit]

I reverted the previous user only to find that the page was originally created by the previous user. A quick glance at the original content shows that it is clearly a fake entry.--Jyngyr (talk) 01:12, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Righto. Sorry about that! Working on speedy deleting it right now. Anyway I'm REALLY REALLY sorry for screwing that up!Bsimmons666 (talk) 01:15, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Theodore Roosevelt[edit]

You said on my page:

Although your intentions may be good, please do not remove huge segments of an article without providing an explanation. --Jyngyr (talk) 00:56, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My response:

sorry, that was a mistake and I was in the process of fixing it. Thanks for correcting that! SimonATL (talk) 00:59, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Happy Prince talk page?[edit]

I was curious about your reasoning for that deletion, but there seems to be no comment of yours on the talk page. Haiduc (talk) 01:38, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The comment I referred to wasn't made by me but another editor. I had nothing to add as what I'd have to say would simply repeat the fact that the text in question is an improper introduction of a fringe view. No reputable publisher would accept the interpretation given of the bird kissing the prince on the lips.--Jyngyr (talk) 01:44, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

We should not accept something simply because it is cited. We must also consider the source. Believe it or not, there are still people out there who argue the earth is flat, the moon landing was a hoax etc. These views are no doubt represented in fringe publications. We shouldn't be accepting them at face value.--Jyngyr (talk) 01:47, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please take this to the article talk page. Thanks, Haiduc (talk) 01:56, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Done--Jyngyr (talk) 01:57, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
