  • Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta Int'l Airport (ATL): Insert new updated Form 5010 in references and place citation in first paragraph where it says ATL covers 4,700 acres....next to citation that is there now.
  • Southwest Florida Int'l Airport (RSW): Second paragraph where it says RSW sits on 13,555 acres of land.., Go to Facilities section, Airfield and Runways, change Airport IQ 5010 document to new, updated document, place new Airport IQ document in references so the citations go directly to new updated document so you don't have to enter airport code. Place citations next to these three sentences.
  • McCarran Int'l Airport (LAS): Go to statistics: Annual Passenger Traffic, 2019; source (reference) with 2019 Statistics: Enplaned and Deplaned Passengers PDF from LAS website.


  • Dayton Int'l Airport (DAY): Go to section: Passenger enplanements numbers at Dayton, 2019. Source (reference) with Dayton Int'l Airport Enplanements and Air Cargo Trends: December 2019 PDF from DAY website.

Miami International Airport (MIA) Accidents and Incidents additions sourcings with Aviation Safety Network reports.

Message about Manhattan

I'm responding to a "scolding" I received, about something I know nothing about.

I clicked on a "message" sign at the top of the page (as I was looking up something about Egypt). I read the message that told me I had made an error (that hurts me to the quick) about something in Manhattan I have absolutely no idea what the message meant. I have NEVER written anything about Manhattan, nor did I make a correction of (whatever it was) that had to do with Manhattan.

I made a small correction a few days/weeks ago, when someone wrote about a person and made a tiny error. But, it had nothing to do with Manhattan. (I've never even heard of the topic of whatever it was about Manhattan.) So, I'm sorry but I have no idea how this all works.

The few times I've tried to correct errors, I wind up getting scolded. I guess there is no room for accuracy these days. Sorry! I'll try to resist the urge to correct errors in the future. It's the "preacher/ teacher" in me that persists with the notion that facts (large or small) need to be attended to (for the greater good). I don't wish to be a bother, but I can't imagine how you came to me? Surely, the person who posted the changes is the person you want to speak to. I can't see how the "connections" can be so poor that you find the wrong person. Can't the person who runs Wikipedia make it work properly? It seems odd that I get scolded for something that I know nothing about. It doesn't seem fair, but then, I'm a conservative, so I'm a whipping boy these days. I simply do not understand how Wikipedia works. It all seems so random. The link says "edit" but if one edits, one gets scolded for something that someone ELSE edited. That just seems unacceptable to me.

Now, I can't figure out how to get out of here. I don't know what all the "editor" type symbols are for. PUBLISH CHANGES sounds very official but I guess that's all I have to deal with. So, I'm sending this plaintive wail to the atmosphere, who knows what I will hear back.   • Go to first paragraph, where it says: The airport encompasses 1,007 acres...source with FAA Airport Master Plan (form 5010) for ITO.
  • Go to Accidents and Incidents: January 6, 1967 incident, source with Aviation Safety Network Report from External Links.
  • August 4, 1971 incident should be transferred to LAX Intl Airport article; Accidents and Incidents 1970s, after 6/6/1971 incident and sourced with Aviation Safety Network report from external links. Occurred a few minutes from landing at LAX. Is missplaced, didn't occur at Hilo.

TXL closure

Please note your change to Tegel Airport is based on a wrong assumption. TXL closed for good for ALL traffic and operations on 8 November, not just scheduled or commercial activities. The transitional period until May 2021 has purely legal implications as explained in the given German sources. Hello. Hope things are good. Three minor requests today:

  • Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER): Go into edit history and go to November 7, 2020 at 15:01. Where it says BER covers 1,470 hectares of land. Put that in Airport Overview, Runways, third paragraph by itself. Was deleted by another user and wanted it sourced and didnt want it in the lead paragraph. Source with (google) Facts and Figures - Berlin Brandenburg Airport.
  • Indianapolis International Airport (IND):Go to Reference #2, correct source so it goes to: Airline Activity Reports-December 2019.
  • Bradley International Airport (BDL); In second paragraph, reference#3, sentence that ends with--with over 6.75 million passengers in 2019 and reference #65, Annual Enplaned Passengers table 2019 Source with:Traffic Stats-2019 Passenger Numbers. I tried linking them but it looks like it cant be done. Try again, if it doesn't, just leave it. Reference #65 doesnt go to the website. It goes to nothing.

Delta Air Lines reported incidents addition

Hello. Sorry to bother you so soon, but I want this added to the above page(section). Could have done this all by myself, but the Delta Air Lines page is locked out. Here are the details added (place below 7/6/1996 incident):

  • Flight: 554
  • Date: October 19, 1996 (Source with Aviation Safety Network id=19961019-0, title=N914DL)
  • Aircraft: MD-88
  • Location: LaGuardia Airport
  • Description: Just before touchdown, after an Instrument landing system (ILS) approach to runway 13, the right wing struck approach lights. The main landing gear then struck the runway end and broke off, causing the aircraft to skid down the runway for 2,700 feet. The plane was substantially damaged, but later repaired and placed back into service. The MD-88 remained in service until it was retired on August 25, 2018. (Source with Planespotters.net N914DL)

  • Serious: 0
  • Minor: 3
  • Uninjured: 60
  • Ground: 0

  • July 8, 1987- Aircraft column, where it says Lockheed L-1011, (ADD) TriStar, with middle s capitalized. Like both entries above this one. Should be Lockheed L-1011 TriStar to keep format.
