dubstep ladies

Hey there! How you doing sir? Good to hear from you. I see your point about the merging of the ladies stub i did and please go ahead and do that as you think best. Maybe, it could be something like "2007, Ladies of Dubstep and Techno Strains" or words to that effect as a sort of separation from the "2006, growth of the scene" thing thats been there for a while now. Honestly, I'm fine with anyway you'd like to change it, as long as we have some sort of paragraph dealing with the ladies, as it's been long over due, and is so important to the continuity of the sound. i really liked your refixing on the page too. very fitting and now things flow much more naturally. also, after thinking about it, it is better you took out the "ladies of dubstep" title, because that was drawing a bit too much attention to the gender subtext, when there's no real need to highlight it. onwards and upwards from here. :) Seckle (talk) 03:41, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

Look

Have you heard a tune of Statik called 'Allstars Producers' (or smthn like that)? That's all grime but you'll see no differences from dubstep. And Grime has been around a bit more than dubstep (from late90s, with Jon E Cash, So Solid, Lethal B etc). The thing authors of article about dubstep have completely missed is that it could have emerged not only in/from South London. Dubtronica is also not mentioned. The whole section of its origins starts from the history of early Dark Garage ('99-'01) which suddenly goes South London scene ('03-our days). Grime is the straight derivation of dark garage (both 2step and 4x4). Mc'ing has been around since rnb-ish 2step times if not earlier. That's why mentioning '2step' is like putting 'Jazz' a straight precursor to 'Hip-hop'. But, from the other point, wikipedia's tradtion seems like putting any possible genre that could influence the sound of any single producer to 'Stylistic origins' section. About FWD>>, its of-page tells

'...Back when it started 2step garage was peaking: all swing and bling. FWD» was born as a place for London's underground headz who preferred grimey sounds to glitzy garms...

..The club has grown to become a bastion for fresh sounds. To dubstep, South London's dark garage hybrid, FWD» is its home. Grime, before it even was called grime, was flung down here.' (My italics) (http://www.ilovefwd.com/about-fwd.html)

I tractate those words as 'dubstep was born here, and grime was the original sound of FWD'.

Right, is there a policy for deleting certain stuff, I got tired of seeing that swearing by that guy on the aphex twin talk page. I mean if it's mainly unconstructive, can it be deleted? I should look this up on wiki i suppose Biggiesmartypants (talk) 22:38, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, probably a little harsh. It's just frustrating to view talk pages and find everything except for talk about the articles. (Sure, not the case here, but I guess you could say it's a pet peeve of mine.) Forgive my ignorance I have no idea who the band is that you mention is but, can some effort be made to show this company's notability in the body of the article and perhaps somesort of formatting cleanup (for instance the Discography being in all caps makes it difficult to read. Thanks for your advice, I appreciate it. You're right, it's hard to edit articles about underground scenes when you have to follow wikipedia's policies about information. If I can, I'll find a source for the Burial article.

So, have you heard of these new guys (not sure if they're U.S. or U.K.) called Trill Bass? I found their CD at a record shop. They did a remix of "Where's Da G's" by Dizzee Rascal. Also, are you a Grimey Dubstep fan or a Dub-Reggae Dubstep fan? Do you make your own tunes? Do you play any instruments?
