Links[edit]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by some search engines, including Google. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. [1] [2] [3] --Ronz (talk) 21:09, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for commenting on my talk page [4].

The detailed answer is in WP:COI and WP:PROMO. Basically, the links you've added are not suitable sources for Wikipedia articles. Neither are they suitable as external links. The lake and Seychelles websites are both tourism sites. The gallery is nice, but not an appropriate external link. Perhaps you'd could get the proper permission to add some of the best images to Wikipedia for use in related articles per WP:IMAGE? --Ronz (talk) 15:30, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the response. As I pointed out, WP:COI and WP:PROMO cover the problems in detail. I should have mentioned WP:EL and WP:NOTLINK as well. --Ronz (talk) 19:11, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
