"from 20–26 April" is incorrect

Hello, you can not use "from 20–26 April" as on 2014 Men's World Ice Hockey Championships. In English there are three correct options:

... played from 20 to 26 April ...
... played between 20 and 26 April ...
... played on 20–26 April ...

German hockey players

Changing the height/weight of hockey players to metric is against the consensus of the WikiProject Ice Hockey[1] which uses imperial measurements for consistency throughout the project. You should expect your edits to be reverted when you are going around to systematically change the height/weight of hockey players to metric. I did not just blindly revert (as many other editors would have done), but rather in those situations where you made more than needless superficial changes to the articles, then I kept the improvement (i. e. adding an image) when reverting the article back to imperial measurements. 2014 European Fencing Championships

Hi! Why did you revert (sort of) my correction of Joséphine Jacques-André-Coquin's name? That's her official name both for national registry and for the fencing bodies. See her page on the European Fencing Confederation's page or on the International Fencing Federation's page. She also appears under this name on the tournament's results. About our feud

Greetings! I'm well aware that I'm late with this message, but circa a few years ago, both of us were involved in a small Internet feud on my talk page about the UEFA Euro 2012 tournament and other football-related articles if I remember correctly. This begs the question, do you still hold any grudges against me, can we still maintain a positive communication between each other? Hi, I just saw you added FIFA referees to some of the matches at 2014 FIFA World Cup Group A and I am asking what is your source for that? It is a very active article (many edits) and it would be very good if you could source those edits or it risks being removed as it is unsourced. We should be careful adding content without sourcing. Oh okay I was not aware of that at all, I just saw refrees being added without source (but most likely there were I know you do not make such edits otherwise). I had no idea it was already listed in the matchreports. Perhaps we should source it anyway to avoid "confusion" and not put everything to matchreport. Cristiano began playing football with a club at the age of 6 not 8

I havn't found one all pages don't have years when he was at the club, the only pages that do are Wikipedia and those websites like Evi who take information off this website, sometimes with links in other matters you can have a few different answers from different websites, where as this is a proper documentary on his life. His family have had input in the film so it's as accurate as it gets, surely thats a good enough source???

Edit conflict

This user Ohconfucius is changing absolutely everything in the hockey articles, without reason from my point of view. Do you think those changes make sense? Flags and links to countries make sense to me, they are quite useful and they are used in most sport events' articles. I seeked your opinion and Aleenf1. Can something be done? Report him?. I agree with you. Besides, all FIFA tournaments, Olympic events, etc, they always show flags. Its just odd to see so many locations of the qualifying tournaments, for example, or names of the goalscorers, without the flag. You just don't know to which team they play. Can´t a flagicon template be created without the flag having a link to the country? This way the overlinking problem would be solved, and we could use the flag without problem, as we think it is needed. The template flagu exists, it is this one:

Eurobasket 2015 Qualification

If I understand the system correctly, wouldn't Sweden be qualified now, as they have a 75% win percentage, and the runner up in Group C can -at best- get a 4-2 record, making a 67% win percentage? -- Lejman (talk) 14:27, 22 June 2014 (UTC)

Yeah, you're right. I see the qualification page has been updated to reflect this, good stuff. I think Poland, Sweden and Croatia nevertheless are qualified now as the runner-up in Group B at best will have a 2-2 record after you discount the games vs team 4 in the group. All three quotes the same Bild,therefore its practically same source. I am sure Guardian is a reliable source. If you want a dispute then, its better to cite both resources just like Bale transfer 91m-100m. MOTM WORLD CUP 2014

Sorry but I have to add it; other articles such as Messi, Robben, Benzema, Navas, etc. have added their own awards because it IS an actual award recognized by FIFA in their own site. http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/awards/man-of-the-match/. How THEY (UEFA) handle their MOTM with or without an actual trophy/award is completely irrelevant for how FIFA awards MOTM players with ACTUAL trophies. How the other articles with players that aren't putting their MOTM awards is also irrelevant because it does not contradict the status of a MOTM award that FIFA gave to each player. If it's officially recognized in the matter that FIFA did with as an actual trophy/award, there's no reason for us NOT to add it to a player's article. You may speak with them if you want. But whatever happens, it must affect ALL players' articles; if they disallow it, then every article that holds a player that is listed with that award should have it removed. That would probably work, but we might want to take it to footy at some point to find a general consesus to the MOS being developed. For 2014–15 Arsenal F.C. season it is harder to find a good solution with Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Community Shield, Champions League.

Quarter scoring

If people will be adding scores, it makes sense to add the total running score, right? At least at every update (presumably after every quarter). It doesn't make sense if there are quarter scores and there's no running score. –H T D 11:38, 30 August 2014 (UTC)
