Image tagging for File:Anne Hathaway Catwoman.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Anne Hathaway Catwoman.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from or who created it. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Non-free rationale for File:Anne Hathaway Catwoman.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Anne Hathaway Catwoman.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Peripitus (Talk) 10:19, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Catwoman split[edit]

Hello,

A few things:

  • Before splitting out a section, all attempts should be made to bring the article in line with WP:PLOT. Right now the problem is not that the IOM section is there. Nor is it that the article's file size has pushed beyond the point where it needs to be split.
  • That other characters have IOM articles is irrelevant until the plot is under control and the article file size is still way too big.
  • The images you have uploaded had a lot of problems. Period.
    • The DCAU one needs each and every version sourced as to where it came from. And point to a wiki is no where near sufficient.
    • This is especially true of the first image since IIRC that character design never appeared in the show.
    • The current The Dark Knight Rises image is better than the one you uploaded. It does not need to be replaced.
    • And you should not be placeing {{cc-by-2.0}} on files that are not your own work unless you can point to where they were originally uploaded under that license. And even then it would need to be signed off by all rights holders - DC Comics and Time-Warner in this case.

- J Greb (talk) 10:58, 10 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, you can do whatever you want with the Catwoman images but please do not redirect the Selina Kyle in other media article to Catwoman#In other media section, she is almost as notable as Batman and The Joker and her in other media section is lengthy enough to be placed in a seperate article cause if Bane is less notable and has his own, why can't she?Karankyle (talk) 13:10, 10 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Bullet point number 2 - read it again. And to be blunt - Bane is a worse case of fan want than what you are doing.

Orphaned non-free media (File:Anne Hathaway Catwoman.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Anne Hathaway Catwoman.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:22, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, is there anything else that you might know of that I can contribute to wikipedia related to The Joker or Selina Kyle as by far, the things I create about them are always deleted or declined so I want to know if there is.

--Karankyle (talk) 08:21, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

When did you create something related to the Joker?
- J Greb (talk) 21:36, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The article that you declined was what I wanted to be my greatest article that I created, and was related to The Joker.

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:COSF1.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:COSF1.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 10:25, 21 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for August 24[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Wanted: The Superfriends, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jeffrey Scott (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Your article submission List of Batman issues[edit]

Hello Karankyle. It has been over six months since you last edited your article submission, entitled List of Batman issues.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 02:01, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
