July 2023[edit]

Hello, I'm Mako001. I noticed that you made a change to an article, USS Houston (CA-30), but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Mako001 (C)  (T)  🇺🇦 03:58, 29 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You want sources, then I have now provided sources. Surely you were not under the impression that it was the US navy divers in 2014 that 'finally identified' or 'discovered' that the wreck was actually USS Houston, (as that's how that 'wreck section' of that page previously 'implied')? Credit where credit is due please, all the navy did was a training exercise on Houston, the proved nothing that was not already widely known.
PS. Without meaning to be offensive, it is folk's like you - that are lightning fast to remove anything they might be ignorant of / or just don't agree with, before the poster has a chance to add his sources - that keeps the real experts from contributing to Wiki to make it more factual, and why Wiki is looked upon in academic circles as, well......lets just leave it at that.
