Orphaned non-free image File:WilliamDiehl PrimalFear.jpg

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:WilliamDiehl PrimalFear.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 04:00, 16 January 2011 (UTC)

Good way to get active again that isn't with Novels persay

I remember you being really helpful when I first started editing and know you aren't particularly interested in taking back up project leadership agian, but would you be interested in helping with the WP:Online_Ambassadors program? It's really a great opportunity to help students become Wikipedia contributers (and you could limit the number of students you take on to limit your time doing it). I hope you apply! WikiProject Novels Collaboration for February

Thank you everyone who participated in the January Collaboration, it was quite a success with 5 new C class articles, 3 stub kills and several articles were removed from our backlogs. In support of the Great Backlog Drive, the WikiProject Novels Collaboration for February is going to help remove backlog candidates in the backlogs related to WikiProject Novels. Please join us, and help us wikify, reference, clean up plot sections and generally improve Novels content, Sadads (talk) 21:49, 5 February 2011 (UTC)

Proposed Bio of H. C. Koenig

Mr. Lewis, A while back, I proposed an addition to the article on THE HOUSE ON THE BORDERLAND AND OTHER NOVELS [Arkham book] with a brief bio of Herman C. Koenig, the major contributor to the popularization of William Hope Hodgson's work in the U.S. I have not seen any comments. Is it possible to create a link in the main article on the book so that his name can be linked to the bio? Reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:The_House_on_the_Borderland_and_Other_Novels Thank you. 108.5.206.43 (talk) 04:25, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

The article Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell (novel) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A search for references failed to find significant coverage in reliable sources to comply with notability requirements. This included web searches for news coverage, books, and journals, which can be seen from the following links:
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell (novel)news, books, scholar
Consequently, this article is about a subject that appears to lack sufficient notability.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nczempin (talk) 01:58, 24 February 2011 (UTC)

RfC about "books by" v. "novels by" categories

Over at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Books#Should "Category:Novels by X" be a subcat of "Category:Books by X"?, we're discussing the odd categorization of "books by" as excluding fiction. I notice that you were one of the editors who put the "non-fiction only" tags on pages. Can you come by and explain the reasoning? I don't think that distinction is obvious enough to most people who adding cats and at this point there are probably too many fiction-inclusive "books by" cat pages to make the "non-fiction only" approach feasible. Service award level

Herostratus (talk) 15:29, 21 March 2011 (UTC)

Actually, your case was a little confusing so I didn't edit your page.. you had apparently received your service awards from a Julia Rossi? Anyway, on the one hand you are entitled to jump from Most Pluperfect Labutnum (the old "SA-tutnumVI" template) to Labutnum of the Encyclopedia (the "Labutnum III" template), and congratulations!

On the other hand, the star and book you display don't match, and Ms Rossi appears to have been mistaken on the star side, as according to this you are actually a Senior Editor III (the "Senior Editor III" template rather than Master Editor (the old "SA-mastereditor" template)... well, we don't "enforce" these and maybe you had earlier edits as an IP or whatever, and you can display whatever award you like, but just letting you know, the templates don't match, in case you want to fix them...
