December 2016[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to Max Planck Institute for Chemistry. I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks! June 2020[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87".

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text

{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names.

 Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 16:31, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Diannaa sorry, it was not clear to me that the German and English Wiki regulations differ so much. As it is allowed to have an offical organisation account on the german page. Thank you!

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • Be aware that changing your username here will also change it on the German Wikipedia; if you don't want to do that, you may simply create an account for yourself to use here. 331dot (talk) 09:49, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for letting me know. I don´t want a change of my German account. How can I withdraw the change of username?

I have marked your request above as "declined". Please be sure when editing this wiki to log out of this account and create/log in to a new account. The username "Maxi Planck" does not appear to be in use and should be acceptable.— Diannaa (talk) 20:16, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
