Grammar Corrections[edit]

Please let me know the reason for your action. Thanks.

Thanks for your note, and for your contribution. Unfortunately, the changes you made to punctuation did not meet what is required under the Manual of Style. Specifically, commas are not placed inside quotation marks when those quotation marks are used to format titles of creative works. While correcting that, I also changed the quotation marks for italics, again as per the style guide. Finally, Wikipedia does not format dates as "20th", but instead as "20". While correcting that change, the dates were reformatted to the international standard (day first) per the subject of the article. This is one aspect of Wikipedia that can be somewhat confusing to new contributors. Articles use several different versions of English, and date formatting, depending on the national ties of the subject. (This is explained in WP:ENGVAR; the important thing is to ensure consistency throughout an article.) The welcome note I left for you has many other useful links that help explain Wikipedia customs. Please feel free to ask if you have any questions about them. --Ckatzchatspy 19:00, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Re: user adoption, I'm sorry to say that I can't help with that. Unfortunately, I've never been involved in that process because I just don't feel I can guarantee the time needed to do the job properly. If you place a note at the adoption talk page, they should be able to link you up with someone who can help; let me know if you have any questions. Thanks. --Ckatzchatspy 09:41, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
