Welcome![edit]

Hello, Koushik27, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Father Felix Raj, SJ, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! -- Patchy1 12:04, 20 December 2012 (UTC) I have created this page on Felix Raj. Suddenly, it says that the article is an orphan. Then to link this article with related Wikipedia profile, I have inserted St. Xavier's College, Kolkata's Wikipedia profile in the external link section and also in the "See Also" section. Do I need to do anything to get rid of this problem ? Please suggest.[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 15:16, 11 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am really sick and tired of editing the article gain and again. In this circumstances, I really have no idea that I do I get rid of this problem. Please suggest. I would be grateful if you kindly do the necessary editing as an Wikipedia editor and remove the tag. Or else I may give up and let the article go for deletion. But that would be a shame for me as well to many people because every one in West Bengal as well as in India believes that Father Felix Raj has significant contribution towards spreading education across the nation.--Koushik27 (talk) 01:02, 19 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Rev. Fr. A. Antony, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.jerichocentre.org/president.html.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. September 2016[edit]

Information icon Hello! Thank you for your recent contributions to Felix Raj. I did have one note for you. I am working on a maintenance project to clean up Category:Pages using infoboxes with thumbnail images. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!! February 2018[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Muhandes. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to St. Xavier's University, Kolkata have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Muhandes (talk) 16:22, 15 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at St. Xavier's University, Kolkata, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Please stop this. I had to work hard to remove all the unsourced material you added, twice. Muhandes (talk) 16:40, 15 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your effort to correct the profile. I am not an expert in this area. I edited the profile on request of the Vice Chancellor of the university. I have asked him to provide the sources so that I can add those as citation. But I didn't understand as to why you have removed the photo gallery ? --Koushik27 (talk) 15:01, 17 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I linked some material below about how to manage a conflict of interest, which you obviously have. As for the gallery, Wikipedia is not a photo album and the images you added did not illustrate the material in the article. --Muhandes (talk) 15:53, 22 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Please also stop editing Felix Raj. --Muhandes (talk) 15:57, 22 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your suggestions. I understand all these rules and guidelines but I couldn't make Felix Raj understand this. May I request you to email Fr. Felix at his mail id ( felixrajsj@gmail.com ) to make him understand about the wikipedia norms. --Koushik27 (talk) 16:01, 22 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, but I cannot help you with this. --Muhandes (talk) 16:12, 22 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I have been trying to make him understand but he is an aged non technical person unaware of all these norms. Ii must tell you St. Xavier's is neither my present institution nor my employer. --Koushik27 (talk) 16:16, 22 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

But I must tell you he is a real gentleman and has enormous contribution to St. Xavier's and also to promote education in underdeveloped areas of India. I have also seen him to be helping the poor with all he has for him. --Koushik27 (talk) 16:20, 22 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I understand all this, but you are in close proximity to him and are bound to have a conflict of interest when you are editing his article and that of the university. If you wish to make edits, suggest them at the talk page of the relevant article using {{request edit}} and I will try to assist, or even more likely, another editor will beat me to it. --Muhandes (talk) 16:28, 22 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sir, it seems to me that no one is editing the page of Felix Raj to give the article a proper shape maintaining the wikipedia norms. What should we do ? It looks odd to leave the article in its present form having a warning box on the top of the page Koushik27 (talk) 18:29, 30 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you wish to make edits, suggest them at the talk page of the relevant article using {{request edit}}. If you wish me to be involved, {{ping}} me. --Muhandes (talk) 17:24, 31 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Muhandes: It would be nice if you get involed into this editig. Koushik27 (talk) 18:39, 31 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have any concrete suggestions? Add them to the article's talk page using {{request edit}} and {{ping me}} there since I don't watch that page.--Muhandes (talk) 11:16, 1 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
