Page Move[edit]

"I renamed Earth 2 (television series) to Earth 2 (TV series)"

For some reason I found it very considerate that you should alert me to the page move (how unusual). So...thanks!

Friday the 13th TV series[edit]

Yes, I am aware of the connection, and I also understand it to be an unconfirmed rumour. The idea that it is tied to Jason's hockey mask gives way to the suspicion as any fan of the film series will tell you that the hockey mask didn't appear until the last third of Part 3. Additionally, by the time the TV series was cancelled, Jason was up to at least his third mask as of 1989's Jason Takes Manhattan. --Bacteria 02:59, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Page Blanking[edit]

On 08-Feb, you blanked Probe (TV Series). Blanking pages is generally considered a bad idea. I've reverted it to the previous version. Redirects from page moves usually do not need to be removed, but if you believe this one should be deleted, please follow the redirection section of the deletion procedures. Thanks! -- JLaTondre 02:54, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RE: The Sentinel (TV series), I need some help[edit]

Hey, sorry for the late reply. It seems you had good intentions in your edit but it seems you made the bullet points using raw HTML, with <ul>s, <li>s and all. The use of raw HTML to format text is generally discouraged on Wikipedia, favouring formatting with wiki-syntax. For example, in the source, the wiki syntax for bullet points looks like this:

* This is a point
* This is another point.

which comes out as:

  • This is a point
  • This is another point.

For ordered, or numbered lists, you use hashes:

# This is point number 1
# This is the second point

which comes out as:

  1. This is point number 1
  2. This is the second point

And finally, if you want to indent numbering into bullet points (like you did in your edit), you do this:

* Numbered heading as a bullet point
:# Numbered point under heading
:# Second numbered point under heading

which comes out as:

  • Numbered heading as a bullet point
  1. Numbered point under heading
  2. Second numbered point under heading

There. So make your edit again, but use wiki syntax to format the lists instead of HTML this time. By the way, I don't think that user should have reverted the edit, rather, he should have fixed it himself. -- Daverocks (talk) 05:17, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Personally, I prefer using HTML and CSS too. I also understand that it would have been impossible to lay out the lists like you did side-by-side in wiki code. If CSS is necessary to design certain things in articles, then I think it can be used, but probably should be avoided if possible. For example, if you take a look at the source of the Main Page, it looks like they've used divs and CSS to format certain things. Try negotiating with User:Andromeda, but at the same time, keep cool and try not to get into a bitter dispute. -- Daverocks (talk) 07:38, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I saw he reverted your earlier changes as well. I mean, you're bound to get into edit disputes. It's really annoying how some people feel they "own" a page (particularly one they work on a lot) and go crazy when someone else touches it. I'm not referring specifically to The Sentinel but you get the idea. It's difficult to allow and accept other people's changes when you work on those types of pages, but I'm sure you'll be able to work something out. It's a good idea to try to make a compromise on layout with him, and I don't think you should start using that layout in other articles if it's already causing problems now. -- Daverocks (talk) 11:08, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Sentinel (TV series) Style disagreement[edit]

Hello Lady Aleena, I'm very sorry I forget to send you a reply until now... So, I've taken a look at your edit on The Sentinel (TV series) and I think the content you wanted to add (episode lists) is useful to expand the article and should have not been reverted. What was probably wrong with your edit is the use of html style tags: however I see from the above messages by User:Daverocks that you should be able to format the text using wiki-code the same way you did with html, so this should solve the problem.

Also try to find out why User:Andromeda did a whole revert of your edit? Was it just because of html usage or did Andromeda think the content was not suitable for the article? Berserker79 15:15, 16 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wiping out of work[edit]

Regarding Known Tok'ra, nothing's been lost - the hand-crafted table of contents is still in the history and can be very easily restored with a few seconds' work if need be. I'll head over to the article's talk page to discuss its merits. Bryan 08:02, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Drawings[edit]

regarding the drawings you asked me i must tell you that i don't have any clue why i cannot find it on my disk right now. i first thought it got lost during a backup because of unicode characters in the file name, but there are other unicode named files in that directory which should contain the stargate drawings too. i hope i can find it. --Pythagoras1 16:22, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Stargate Atlantis[edit]

Hi

Not complaining or anything, but what is the source of the Atlantis Glyph? It looks amazingly like the Earth symbol?

Thanks. Pydos 08:42, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No i wasn't sure either. However if you check the address from Earth to Atlantis (see at Atlantis (Stargate)) it shows this as the seventh symbol. Carter speculates in The Fifth Race that this is the galaxy symbol when dialing 8 symbols, then followed by the normal Tau'ri symbol for point of origin. Sound good enough? Pydos
Yeah i know - i thought that in the meanwhile we could use the symbol for the Pegasus galaxy - just until we see the proper symbol from Atlantis. Sound ok?

Tremors Cleanup[edit]

If you want to see the Tremors TV series info that I removed, go to the Tremors page, click on History, and then on "17:49, 21 July 2006", beneath the entry labelled with my name. This will take you to the previous version, which you can cut and paste into the Tremors TV series article, if that was your intention.--Geoduck 09:11, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the alert; have just passed by (what I assume is) the relisted nomination and voted accordingly. Perhaps CfD is just too time-consuming...

Thunder Alley[edit]

Hi. I have to say, I think the Thunder Alley article is quite well written as it is. It does a very clear job of outlining the history of the show and the various cast changes that affected it. I'm not sure what you mean by it being dense or repetitive. In any event, if I can help with information about the show, I'd be glad to. I starred on it. Easiest way to reach me is on the Thunder Alley talk page, as I don't have an account and don't want one, for privacy purposes.
