Priory School, Isle of Wight[edit]

Hello, I'm Adamiow. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to Priory School, Isle of Wight because it didn't appear constructive. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Adamiow (talk) 17:56, 4 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Priory School, Isle of Wight, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Your recent edits to the article removed a lot of content, which is not a positive change, with the new content not in an appropriate style. Also, the new content only added a reference to the new Ofsted. I have found this and added it to resolve this. I hope this will prevent future edit problems. Thanks. Ladyoflaxey (talk) 14:48, 9 January 2013 (UTC)9 January 2013 Dear Adamiow Thank you very much for your kind help. I have a major problem in that the article produced in this week's - 4 January 2013 - is not online at the iwcp website - but maybe you could investigate for me, please. There has been much at stake for the children who are of Priory School and their achievements and those of the teachers should be shown - not the negative. Thank you again ladyoflaxeyLadyoflaxey (talk) 14:48, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I can appreciate what you are trying to do, but Wikipedia is supposed to be an unbiased information source. Therefore, adding overly positive information and removing anything negative is not appropriate, hence why I have removed your last two edits. Do feel free to have a look at other school's pages - all of the other school's pages are in fairly good condition and show a fairly unbiased view. The Ofsted report can speak for itself and I have had put a summary in the article in that the report classed the school as good. Please feel free to ask any more questions you have, but if you could do this before editing, it would be easier to prevent the need to keep reverting the edits. Ladyoflaxey (talk) 19:51, 9 January 2013 (UTC)Dear Adamiow I am grateful for your advice. Please state then if Ofsted is completely happy why is it necessary to rake up something that is no longer an issue as there could be legal implications too for all we know?[reply]

As per my previous comments, Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia - it is a place for neutral, unbiased information and this is one of the core principals. History is history - it can't be unwritten, as that would provide a bias. As far as I am concerned, the article presents the school fairly and indeed, other articles for other schools on the Island also present their success and shortcomings fairly too. Happy editing!
