Unit conversion stuff (question)[edit]

Minor question, not actually needed right now, just curious, and I would normally have stuck this in the help desk but I'm at school and my current IP is blocked from editing due to vandalism (either some kid being stupid or some teacher editing the article to stop kids from cheating, not disputing).

Let's say I have a source for something that gives a number - say a dollar amount for average cost of a component in some sciencey thing. Now my source gives the number in USD, but the article is using Euros elsewhere for some other cost. If I use Google to convert the USD to Euros, and stick it in the article, how would I properly note this? Just cite it and put  ? Is there a template I use?

Don't convert it at all. If the source only mentions Euros, only add that value. You don't know how they arrived at that value - they might have converted it themselves, someone else might have converted it for them, the conversion might have been done months earlier, etc. - so you are unable to convert the amount (back) without violating WP:SYNTH or WP:NOR.
