Welcome to the GOCE![edit]

Hello Leiovus and welcome to the Guild of Copy Editors (GOCE)! We are glad that you have decided to help us in our mission to improve the quality of writing on the English Wikipedia! Here are some links that you might find helpful to get started on your copy-editing journey!

You can help with copy-editing requests if you already have familiarity with the MOS and considerable English copy-editing skills, or start with articles tagged for copy editing to gain experience.

Thank you so much for joining the GOCE, we appreciate it!

Edits to Gina R. Poe[edit]

Quoting User:Leiovus in your recent edit to Gina R. Poe: "CE for tone, tried to make it sound more informative. in the Advocacy section I removed the descriptions of her roles as they seemed excessively complimentary. If anyone if going to add them back in, I recommend a more informative tone. Hope this helps."

Actually it does help and thank you for your edit. Since there have been many people editing this page recently and there have been some (in my opinion) low-quality edits, I am working to try to encourage editors to work together towards a common, stated goal. This is why I undid your edits to the Advocacy section (though I do not disagree with them, I simply want to defer them for a while). Personally and FYI, I agree with all of your other edits (while acknowledging that this IS a collaborative effort).

Please help with this article by participating in the talk page to define a common goal that will allow us together to make the article more encyclopedic so that we can be fully justified in removing the copy edit template. Also, there are significant problems with the citations that need to be addressed. The talk page addresses these areas in more detail. Thank you! :) John --Johnnie Bob (talk) 12:56, 26 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
