Velkommen[edit]

Hej Carsten

Velkommen igen. Mvh. Skorping[edit]

A tag has been placed on Skorping, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

Merge tags[edit]

Hi I was wondering why this tag had the {{subst thing in it? Rich Farmbrough, 10:06 18 June 2007 (GMT).

Ah. Yes, if you had put {{subst:DATE}} it would have done the right thing. Not a problem. Rich Farmbrough, 12:15 18 June 2007 (GMT).

Rotorua and gangs[edit]

I note your comments on the Rotorua page re. the inclusion of gangs as a sub-topic. I recommend the content be removed, as it is misleading (especially as I live in the city!) Ianguy 01:16, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Non-confessional[edit]

I do not think that the prod template is really very useful in this case. Simply list the redirect at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion. --Mais oui! 09:18, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rick Roderick[edit]

Why did you send me that notice about Rick Roderick? As far as I know, I have never contributed to that article. LaszloWalrus 19:01, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I missed that somehow. LaszloWalrus 21:15, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fun with spellings[edit]

Howdy. Just to let you know, I'm fighting a similar battle on the other HP pages over spellings and the like.

If you want to use it, I put this together a couple of weeks ago with some of the spelling differences and other differences specific to the America version only. I find that posting the template on the talk page is usually enough to stop them. Daggoth | Talk 08:20, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

DYK[edit]

Updated DYK query On 14 July, 2007, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Danish land laws referendum, 1963, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

I just wanted to apologize for what happened, I got confused and thought I was reverting the edit I in fact recreated. My apologies,  Bella Swan(Talk!) 21:19, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, and I hope we get that mess of an article straightened out soon.  Bella Swan(Talk!) 21:26, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I agree and look forward to the day when that article will be FA status....  Bella Swan(Talk!) 21:35, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:SB logo RGB 72.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:SB logo RGB 72.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 23:37, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

Hi Carsten

Thanks for the barnstar. It was a nice surprise. Happy editing. Valentinian T / C 20:13, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Panfocus[edit]

Hi. Hopefully I've got the right page here. It looked like you marked the [Panfocus] article for deletion because it's not based on a 'real' english word. It seems to be a valid term (maybe as 'Pan focus' instead of 'Panfocus') based on a google search. I wouldn't have known what it was (and now basically understand it as setting the f-stop of the lens to the highest value, and setting the focus to the maximum value, such that objects from the minimum focal length at that f-stop to infinity are acceptably sharp). Thanks for your time. opello 12:41, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Harry Potter stuff...[edit]

Yeah I know... I was just using the "Christian one" name to identify it to reader's. And I DID read it. That is why I left it in there. I was never going to take it out. Your little comment read as if I had done something wrong or if I made some erroneous decision when I hadn't/haven't. Strange. Hooah. ScarianTalk 08:14, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies, Lilac. I must've misinterpreted your comment. I do apologise for jumping to conclusions. And also I thank you for your 'compliment' on the said articles' discussion page.
Also would like to mention that the User:Delighted eyes suffers from dyslexia, so her post's may not be particularly decipherable. I believe she may have been replying to an 'invisible' [I am not aware of their proper name] post on the article... when a user wishes to warn/tell potential editors of something but without it showing on the article... her 'invisible' edit on the article was deleted by a user. But anyway, sorry for this confusion! Hooah. Have a nice day :-) ScarianTalk 09:28, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your GA nomination of James Bond (films)[edit]

I am mystified why you left me a mesage.

I did not nominate it.

Tovojolo 17:14, 3 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh shut up (LOL). I didn't do it intentionally. If you think I did then you must be quite strange. Please don't bother me again ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you?" Contribs 08:36, 4 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And no I won't EVER do that again. (Oh I was thinking anbout it becoming a daily habit actually). I know you mean well - but apologies for the mistake. No hard feelings all the best ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you?" Contribs 08:38, 4 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

P.S Keep up the good work on Danish law, politics and Mr Potter! ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you?" Contribs 08:39, 4 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A GAC and an FAC where I need some assistance[edit]

From Russia with Love (film) is a GAC and Casino Royale (2006 film) an FAC, since long. It'll be great if you handle the GAC and send a comment in favour of FAC. In case you oppose it, tell me why on my talk page instead of the FAC page, since the result will soon be out and CR will fail if even one flaw is left over. See you then. Vikrant Phadkay 15:12, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have reviewed Occupation of Denmark, which you nominated as a Good Article candidate, and placed the article on hold pending some issued being addressed. Please see the article talk page for details. Regards, EyeSereneTALK 13:59, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed that you placed the article on hold until it satisfied the criteria. The maximum seven day limit that it can stay on hold for has now passed, so could you please review the article again and pass or fail it. Many thanks. - Boy1jhn 12:52, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Lilac Soul. Valentinian has been copyediting the article following my GA hold, and has contacted me to let me know that he will be unable to finish the remaining sourcing as he will be busy for a while. Occupation of Denmark is almost there, but sourcing is very important for Good Article status, and there are still areas of the article that definitely need it (see the GA review comments I left). As the article currently stands it will not pass, but it is no longer being worked on. Unless you are planning to complete the sourcing yourself, might I suggest that the article be delisted as a GA candidate for now to prevent a second GA fail by default?

I hesitate to delist it myself without the nominator's permission, so let me know what you think. All the best, EyeSereneTALK 10:50, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, with your permission I'll do that. Feel free to renominate when you think it's ready. It's an interesting article, and it would be good to see it get to GA ;) EyeSereneTALK 18:05, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Harry Potter roll-call[edit]

Hi there. Your username is listed on the WikiProject Harry Potter participants list, but we are unsure as to which editors are still active on the project. Your name has therefore been moved to a "potentially inactive" list. If you still consider yourself an active WikiProject Harry Potter editor, please move your name from the Potentially inactive list to the Active Contributors list. You may also wish to add {{User WP Harry Potter}} to your userpage, if you haven't done so already. Conversely, if you do not wish to be considered a member of the WikiProject, leave your name where it is and it will be moved to the Inactive Contributors section. If you wish to make a clean break with the Project you may move your name to the Known to have left section. Many thanks.

Failed State Index[edit]

Hi Lilac, I noticed you added/updated the Failed States Index status for Iraq, complementing this I have added the Index parameters into the country infobox now, just like the other indices. Thought you would be interested in knowing this. Sinhala freedom 04:22, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

re User:Jfol2258 reported to AIV[edit]

I have blocked this user for 1 week. I note you requested an indef block but I considered that the previous block was for 31 hours and that the editor subsequentley did not edit for some considerable time afterward. If the editor returns with the same vandalism after this block then I believe an indef tariff would be appropriate. LessHeard vanU 11:54, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. I assume you have the Roberto Baggio page watched, so if there is any vandalism you can report it to AIV with a link to this conversation to get the appropriate tariff. LessHeard vanU 12:00, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Baruch Halpern[edit]

Tks for uprgading my talk page, tho to tell the rtutyh I hadn't noticed there was a proble.

I've done something probably unheard of on the Halpern deletion page - 2 votes, one on each side. I've given my reasonws on the page., such as they are - basically, it's a question of how I allocate my time and energies. Tks again PiCo 08:43, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
