University of Oregon media[edit]

Hi, Ljmajer. I was wondering if you were still working on the media page in your sandbox. I think the media section on the UO page requires the most cleanup, right next to the addition of a history section. Since what you have is, in my opinion, already better than how it's currently presented, I think you can change it soon. Just a few things: for the UO article, you can use the Main template to show:

(it's more consistent with the rest of the article). You can also maybe expand the part in the UO article to have some more information on the more prevalent newspapers, et al, like the Daily Emerald, as well as perhaps an abstract on some of the controversies. And thanks for doing this, btw. Cluskillz (talk) 20:48, 9 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Worthy S. Streator[edit]

Updated DYK query On 24 November, 2008, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Worthy S. Streator, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Six Degrees[edit]

A little bird told me that we know someone in common! And I heard a great story about you being interviewed by the local media of a certain small town because of your work on Wikipedia! Gosh, I hope I haven't been cranky with you. Cheers! Katr67 (talk) 08:00, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In regards to your user subpage at User:Ljmajer/Sandbox4, it may not be appropriate to be indexed by external search engines as presently written, because it is a user draft of a BLP article, and it should not be in article space categories. Typically this could be because it appears promotional, or contains material being worked on or archived that doesn't yet meet policies and guidelines. As a precaution, I have tagged this page as {{Userspace draft}}, which allows editing but minimizes the page's inclusion in search engine results, and I have edited out the article namespace categories (see: WP:User pages#Categories, templates, and redirects).

If you believe that your userpage does not violate WP guidelines, please leave a note here and we can discuss it. As an alternative, you may add {{Db-userreq}} to the top of the page in question and an administrator will delete it, you can change the page so that it more clearly meets Wikipedia guidelines, or you can edit it as normal. However, please do not remove the Userspace draft tag or add back the categories without discussion. Thank you. --Funandtrvl (talk) 17:46, 29 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for creating the new article about Doriot Anthony Dwyer! She is certainly notable, and it's so much better that it's in article space. Have a good holiday weekend, regards. --Funandtrvl (talk) 19:35, 30 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Doriot Anthony Dwyer DYK nomination[edit]

Hi, I looked over this nomination and had a minor concern. The source for the hook is given in the article as page 61. The information in the original source is actually on page 60, as far as I can tell. I didn't want to change this without discussing it with you, since I'm not sure if you were numbering them differently somehow. As soon as this is cleared up, I will approve the hook. GaryColmanFan... thanks for your work on the DYK.. very appreciated. You're correct on the page ref for the hook.. I've made the change on the Doriot Anthony Dwyer page. Thanks again Ljmajer (talk) 06:25, 1 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 18:19, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism revert[edit]

Hey Ljmajer. Just saw this reversion, and am wondering if it is vandalism. Could you clarify? Cheers, The Interior (Talk) 05:33, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

January 2014[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Mater Dei Catholic High School (Chula Vista, California) may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • * Bill Dean – UCSD grad, Former Naval Officer, Regional Director of the NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission (1972)
