A tag has been placed on Plug and Grow, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. — ERcheck (talk) 16:06, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Duplicate images uploaded[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Emeraldbanner.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Emerald banner.jpg. The copy called Image:Emerald banner.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Spen victoria cricket club, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://bradfordcricketleague.org/spenvictoriacc.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 10:56, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Spenvic.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Spenvic.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Emeraldbanner.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Emeraldbanner.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:49, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Social sciences directory[edit]

Hi, I'm Sulfurboy. Locutus243, thanks for creating Social sciences directory!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Multiple sections and claims have no citations for verfications.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Sulfurboy (talk) 22:17, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Social sciences directory has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Mildly promotional article on a non-notable company publishing two non-notable journals. (And even if those were notable, notability is not inherited). The sources do not even mentioned this company (as they were published 9 years before the company was even founded, that is not too surprising...). Does not meet WP:GNG or WP:CORP.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
